Thank god it'll be Larson's final NXS start of 2017, my prediction,
"Larson will repeat the fall Texas race in the Xfinity series again!"
Bowman is expected to be in the #42 for Phoenix, Reddick will be in the
#42 for Homestead

3. I'm still surprised Larson is even making some start during the
playoffs. I know that he still can, because he doesn't have 5+ years in
Cup, but it looked like he just doesn't care during the playoffs...
Anyway, only William Byron can ruin Kyle Busch's record of 5 wins this
season, but he has to win all 3 remaining races. Otherwise Kyle will
keep his most season wins record for another year and this time he
couldn't race more than 10 times. That's pretty unexpected and it will
be insane, if he does it again with just 7 starts next year...

Matthew, Green was listed as driving both the 38 and the 93 cars for the
Xfinity race, that is what was meant.

Yeah I think it's just a backup car for JDM if I'm not mistaken so it

Jones' GameStop entry has the video game a Call of Duty WWII on the hood
tonight. The first-person shooter game, taking that series back to its
roots in its titular conflict compared to the modern or futuristic
settings in its recent games, released the day before this race.

Erik Jones-Kyle Larson-Elliott Sadler are your 1-2-3 at the end of the
first stage.

Ryan Reed got the wall right before the end of the first segment and had
to make an unscheduled stop for repairs.

It's still weird seeing only three Fords in this race. By comparison
we've got two ancient Dodges out there too (a brand with no factory
NASCAR support in any series since 2012).

Why is the Mustang unpopular? Do Chevy and Toyota offer more
manufacturer support as I suspect?

Cole Custer had a flat tire on the pace laps, lost a lap to fix it, and
remained down a lap for all of stage 1. He's back on the lead lap now.

This weirdly reminds me of the current state of oval track snowmobile
racing. Polaris is dominant and fills most of the field, Arctic Cat has
a few teams that can contend with them, the Ski-Doos and Yamahas are
field fillers.

William Byron outdrags Erik Jones to take the lead on the restart but
everyone behind them gets racy and it ends with Brandon Jones' #33
taking a hard hit into the inside wall on the backstretch after contact
from Michael Annett while they were in the hunt for top-10 spots. The
#33 Rain-X/Advance Auto Parts Camaro is a goner, the radiator is hanging
out of the front of the car.

Kyle Larson as Dylan Lupton spins to bring out a yellow. The former K&N

It's official - Kyle Busch will keep his Xfinity Series most wins record
even this year despite running only 10 races. William Byron failed to
win this race and can only tie him now, not surpass him.

Anyway, it was really cool to see GameStop winning again. Joey Logano
won with Call of Duty - Black Ops 2 in 2012 at Charlotte and the newest
game from Call of Duty series (WWII) wins again. Some people say Call of
Duty is a crap, but there are still people in this world that just love
videogames no matter what and will beat every single game they like...

The idea of that pretty much old news now for this series. Xfinity is
now a messed up series in my opinion and it doesn't mean anything other
than witnessing some first time winners for me. Hell the playoff drivers
has STILL yet to win a playoff race. Sadler winning the championship
without winning a race honestly just feels right. Much better than
Austin Dillon winning his.

35. What's so wrong about having a winless champion? Elliott Sadler is
the most consistent driver that runs for the Xfinity Series title and is
like a Truex in Cup with his huge 138 point lead. He would definitely
win the title during the old Xfinity rules before 2016 and if he wins it
even with the playoff system, then I don't have any problem with it.

Just because it's so rare to see winless champion, it doesn't mean it's
totally wrong. Win isn't everything and you can still win the title
thanks to the pure consistency, which is more important.

stat is pointless and I thought this site is the perfect place for
them... I hope it still is, but some people have obviously different
opinion, because it's Kyle Busch's stat...

Plus, it's the truth, so deal with it - 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013,
2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. In all those years (all with JGR), Kyle Busch
won the most races. The only exemption is 2012, because he was racing is
his own weak equipment and didn't win a single race. And 2017 is
special, because he won more races in just 10 starts than anyone else.
And if he does it again in 2018 with just 7 starts, it will be more than
just special...

I think it would be a good idea if NASCAR didn't award owner's points to
a team when a non-eligible driver (like Jones, Blaney, Larson, Bell,
Dillon, etc.) runs their car. This would encourage teams to use Xfinity
drivers without creating another restriction.
