This is a short field even with a rare #12 Penske entry. I have to imagine there will be more short fields in coming weeks. If Fury, #12-Penske, #98-Biagi Denbeste do not enter a race, you could be stuck at 38 before S&P's are thrown in. @3, I don't think we will see the #13 this week even if the field is short. Carl is entered with the #66 Cup car. I don't think he has the capacity to bring four vehicles to the track at one time. He said he didn't enter the cup race at Dover because they were entering the #13 in the Xfinity race. 7. Smut Means's cars usually finish races - back when he drove, pretty consistantly around 20th, which wasn't bad for an owner-driver team back in the early 90s. As a car owner, again, his cars mostly finish races - granted, between his budget and the quality of drivers he can field, they're usually laps down, but they're running (we could contrast that with another well known driver, who will remain nameless, who hasn't actually finished a race since 2013, altho he's started a bunch of them). 36. Championship-eligible drivers who won a race during the regular season, attempted to qualify for all regular-season races and met a minimum points position (Monster Energy Series: Top 30; NASCAR XFINITY Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series: Top 20) qualify for the Playoffs.' This is the same reason Jeremy Clements' team didn't make the owner's playoffs last year despite having a win. I don't know where you would've read otherwise, because that was never the rule. Hill and Finchum wouldn't need exemptions if they were in the top 20, because they've both attempted every race. Each has one DNQ. The rule is that you have to attempt every race, not start every race. That's why Josh Bilicki is still technically eligible, as he has 2 DNQs but has attempted every race. 111. 'A win in the first 26 races all but guarantees a driver entry into the NASCAR XFINITY Series Chase, provided the driver is in the top 30 in points and has attempted to qualify for each race.' As far as Hilll and Finchum go, I'm so use to there not being DNQ's that I forgot they still take place in Xfinity. 114. I know he had dropped off the lead lap when he suffered that power issue with 60-some laps to go, but it looks like he got back on the lead lap with the lucky dog on the final caution and rallied to a top-10 in the final 34 laps. Great job! 116. Wil posted: 07.14.2018 - 5:41 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) @116 Nemechek really impressed me. He's clearly raw and needs a couple years, but the raw talent is clearly there. Passing Kyle Busch for the lead is big time, period. 117. JSPorts posted: 07.14.2018 - 5:44 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I was also impressed by Nemechek last night. Hopefully he can get a full-time ride for 2019, and we can see what he could do. 118. The 66 has replaced the 13 as the 2nd full-time car that start-and-parks often. 121. rm posted: 07.25.2018 - 10:59 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) 78 sponsor - Tennessee Shine/KBM Commercial Properties 122.
