It took them 3 laps to notice he had spun out of 3rd place. -__- Not only that, but Mears spun out of tenth place and nobody frickin' noticed! The damn thing was never caught on tape because of NBC's crapiness. (14) Hell, if they'd let me, I'd sit where Allgaier stalled. They wouldn't have to pay me a dime. But you're definitely right. They won't have squat for Mid-Ohio. John posted: 08.11.2018 - 1:19 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) @25 Kurt Busch is a very interesting driver to analyze because people in NASCAR talk with ecstasy about how great of a wheel man he is. The level of praise gets so high that you would think he had tons of Cup Championships yet the stats have never measured the level of praise he gets. Kurt Busch ran the #22 Xfinity car at Watkins Glen in 2011. Brad Keselowski has praised Kurt for the setup he created for that race. Brad has stated that the reason the #22 was so good on road courses right after that race was because of this awesome setup Kurt Busch came up with. That is a pretty amazing considering how much different Watkins Glen is compared to the other road courses NASCAR would race at. I have never heard of a driver talk such praise of a racing setup. I wonder if that setup Kurt came up with is still helping Penske in Xfinity at the road courses. It is also interesting that Kurt Busch has not had more success at road courses and at Watkins Glen in the Cup Series since that race. Yes, he had gotten better, but that setup did not lead to any Cup wins or dominance at road courses. 28.
