But for the rest of the drivers, that kinda sucks, though at least it'll be competitive at the front between Kyle, Lags, Chase and Larson. Also will be interesting to see if Bell can challenge them. Brandon Jones also led over 100 laps in the spring here. 7. If Toyota/NASCAR/Kyle's ego/his big-money sponsor simply insist on shoving Kyle Busch down our throats in these lower series, here's an idea: Instead of driving the best equipment on the track -- what the hell kind of challenge is that, absent the occasional mechanical failure like tonight? -- put him in something like the JP Motorsports #45. It's got a Toyota badge, so that's not an issue. Let Kyle practice & qualify the car, by all means put his sponsors on it and let him make whatever reasonable adjustments he wants (short of "give me my superior equipment back!!!") and let's see how he does against those odds. It will at least be a challenge, and might actually generate some sorely-needed fan interest instead of the kind of snoozer where he nearly laps the field before the end of stage 1. 50. Yep, lesson No. 1 - don't cheer too early. It doesn't matter, anyway. This only means he will stick to Xfinity for a longer time, because he got just one win in 7 starts - pretty bad season, but at least he's got 6 wins in the series where it matters the most apart from some his "buddies" that have 2 or 4 wins, but are winless in Cup... And still better than Brad Keselowski in 2016, who went winless in 15 starts for Roger Penske. That's really bad, not some just one win season in 7 starts... So still a 7-5 combo or 5-3 combo of lower series races for next year, it doesn't matter. He's the all-time leader in both series, so some 100 Xfinity wins are just a nice bonus, nothing else. It's not that important as being the all-time leader in wins. 88. So that 4 out of 7 races with the possible best car... And so what? Like I said, it doesn't matter at all. No one will catch him, so he can easily add those remaining wins in future years.
