The 38 of JJ Yeley is also a start and park but when the 38 team doesn't
run the whole race it usually runs the first two stages and park in stage 3

That's most likely a career-ending crash for Morgan. Even though he only
started-and-parked in recent years, it was great to still see him

Morgan Shepherd is not going to withdraw. Though he doesn't have a
backup car of his own, Johnny Davis is going to lone Morgan his backup
car for the race. Car will be JD's usual all red with the 89 in white
numbers.

It's always cool to see the small teams working together, and staying
loyal. Morgan drove for Davis quite a bit between 2003 and 2007.

Absolute shame that we're getting robbed of what could be potentially
one of the greatest championship battles of all time.

5 drivers within 22 points with 2 races left!!

Instead, it looks likely that 2 of those 5 won't even make it thanks to
this dumb playoff system.

dominate and win, while it took someone new to get used to the cars that
it was time to hang it up for the newbie.

In the full season standings, Bell held a slim 8-point lead over Hemric
heading into Texas. But after encountering trouble, Bell dropped to 4th
as Hemric takes a narrow 1-point lead over Custer, today's winner.
Allgaier is still very much in the mix as well, 7 points back, and
Sadler rounds out the top 5, 22 points out of the lead.

With two races to go, can Bell, the series' winningest driver this
season, gain those 14 points back and win the title? Or will someone in
the current top 3 take home the championship? If only there were no
playoffs, we would have an intense, fully-natural title fight that would
rival what we witnessed in 2003.

"#83 & #88 it won't matter, because the Playoff championship is more
important. Just like how Sector is the only one that cares about Kyle
Busch vs Kevin Harvick in Cup, because in the end only the championship
at Homestead matters. Christopher Bell has to win at Phoenix, and if he

@93 - They withdrew the 55 after Bilicki crashed the 45 in practice
because they had no backup. Bayley Currey was put in the 45 for the race.

That was a great finish. They raced each other hard BUT clean. That bit
of trading paint down the backstretch on the final lap was accidental

Wow the season-long points (no playoff format) would be amazing to
watch. Top 5 separated by 22 points, the top 3 separated by 7 points and
just a single point between the two leaders! Too bad eh?

Just caught the finish of the race. Not sure how that's a "dick move" by
Reddick on the final lap. Looks like Reddick came down to sidedraft and
Custer came up to make the corner entry better, and they just
doorslammed each other. Racing.

The 45 that ran the race was originally the 55, it was renumbered and
essentially became the backup car. Currey stayed in the car due to full
race sponsorship already sold. Bilicki is just a victim of his teams own
circumstance of not having a backup car at the track. I think this 2 car
team only travels with 1 hauler? Their trailer has both 45 and 55 on the
side of it. I think this happened earlier this year but Bilicki was able
to use the 55 car which was likely going to S&P, not fully sure about
that though.

Looking at the points, it would be a real shame if Bell and Allgaier
don't make it to Miami. They are the only two contenders that actually
deserve to win the championship. Imagine Matt Tifft or Tyler Reddivk
winning the title. Makes my head hurt thinking about it...

Definitely Finchum's best weekend at this level outside of a plate race.
Qualified and finished top 20, and ran near 20th all race. Only one lap
down. Kid might be showing some improvement. I hope he and Smithbilt are
back with Carl Long next year.

89. Exactly - it's nice that it's that close, but would it be really
that close completely without playoffs, where every race matters? Hard
to say, but I don't think so. They would race differently, for sure.

@107 Honestly, he ran even better last week at Kansas. He ran between
10th and 18th nearly the entire second half of that race, finishing 11th
at the end of stage 2 if I remember correctly.
But this is definitely the best two race stretch of his short career.
Hope he can keep it up and end 2018 on a really strong note.

Tyler Reddick is awesome and 112 yeah there was a 45 car in it it was
Bayley Currey(I think)

Bayley Currey drove the 45 in the race, it did not withdraw.

It should be:

R.B. Bracken was the crew chief of the #45 when Currey drove it in the
race.
