The team has decided to celebrate Sadler hanging up his helmet in style as the #10 Nutrien Ag Solutions Chevrolet has been given a yellow-and-black throwback paint scheme harkening back to the very dawn of Sadler's racing career as a late model racer at Virginia's South Boston Speedway in the early 1990s. The team also brought in Sadler's late model crew chief Chris Rice, now Kaulig's team president, to climb back atop the war wagon and call the shots for Elliott's last race. 2. The teams and drivers at the top are certainly close together, but it really falls off once you get below about 12th place. We've only had eight different winners so far this season, which would be a record for the fewest in a single season. There were only 10 winners in 1983 and 84, and every season since has had at least 10 different winners. 47. jensenators posted: 09.14.2019 - 9:16 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Austin Cindric had a penalty for too many men over the wall. It wasn't from his crew though. A crewman from Brandon Brown's team helped stop a tire rolling from Cindric car, since he was "helping" the 22 team, it was considered an extra man for the 22 car. 48. Mile501 posted: 09.15.2019 - 5:45 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) This race was a good demonstration of the haves vs. the have-nots in Xfinity. There are 15 solid teams in Xfinity this year--the 12 drivers who made the playoffs, plus the #18 and #8 which feature rotating drivers, and the #10 that runs part-time. At some point around halfway, I noticed that there were 15 cars left on the lead lap--exactly the same group of 15 as described above. Everyone else was 1, 2, or more laps down. Even the finishing order generally reflects this, the only exceptions being that Sieg was DQed and Gaulding snuck up into that group using fuel strategy. A further illustration of the gap: Even while clearly ranking 15th among those 15 teams (though they do deserve credit for even being among this group at all), Ryan Sieg still earned the final playoff spot by nearly 100 points ahead of Gray Gaulding, even though Sieg was DQed and Gaulding finished 7th. 74.
