With C2 Freight back on board for RSS, Jeff Green will get to run the full event after having to Start and Park last race. 3. In addition to being pushed back from its original date by a few months by the COVID-19 pandemic this race was initially rescheduled for Saturday, May 30, before it had to be pushed back to Monday, June 1, after rain delayed the midweek NASCAR Cup race at Charlotte the prior week from Wednesday to Thursday. The extra delay was to allow the FOX television time the extra time it needed to take down its equipment in Charlotte and move it to Bristol for this race and the Cup race preceding it, which went ahead Sunday as scheduled. 4. He's lost the lead in the spring race here the last two years with 10 and 18 laps to go, he almost looks snakebit here, but the unforgiving nature of Bristol seems to have a tendency to inflict that upon drivers (see: Mark Martin's multiple run-ins with Bristol's pit road). 7. The Gibbs cars always look really strong at Bristol in the Xfinity Series, and Cindric came so close last week. 8. Gray Gaulding should be in that car. 9. KyleCampbell posted: 05.31.2020 - 10:39 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Justin Allgaier seems to be the pick here for me. He's led hundreds of laps here the last few years and if not for a little bad luck would have multiple victories(he did win years ago maybe 2010) but speaking of last year he led almost half the laps run at Bristol. Hey by the way props for Myatt Snider 5th career high, Brandon Brown 7th, Jeremy Clements 8th, Josh Williams 9th, The Dinger is his return after missing Daytona 10th nice run for A.J after a tire going down, and also B.J McLeod Good 11th best run in 3 years and two good runs in three races in Xfinity, Vinnie Miller career high 12th and best finish for the 78 car since Daytona last year, Joe Graf's first lead lap finish and a career best, and Timmy Hill two Bristol Lead Lap runs this week not bad very nice to see, See I can give guys compilments, Haven't felt like it much today, but thats okay, you can understand but back to Timmy Hill for a sec thats his 3rd lead lap run this season in Xfinity and he has 3 lead lap runs in his last 5 races he was in. Pretty good and remember he was 7th last year also, 2nd best ever run in Xfinity in his career at the time and best not at a SuperSpeedway as well. And did I mention earlier maybe we might see fans at Homestead or Talladega possibly both maybe depending on the social distancing, and other measures from those in charge some better than others okay just letting you be informed. It be great to see fans at the track for the first time since the pandemic happened. Charlotte had folks in condos at the track but still not the same as those in the fans, cheering, screaming, jeering, booing you get the picture. 144. Fun little story before the race, I have a groupchat with a bunch of other NASCAR guys and we've called ourselves the "Timmy Hill and MBM Fan Club" that we made after Timmy qualified for the 500 this year. We added Timmy and MBM's Instagram to the chat just in case they ever saw it (we didn't expect them to) but yesterday about 3-4 hours before the race the MBM page responded in the chat! Everyone went crazy ?. He told us that he was Carl Long who runs the Instagram page and that he's been keeping track for a while of the stuff we post (we post a lot of Timmy Hill stuff on our pages) and that he was currently texting us from his "portable" office at the track. He told us about how they we're getting ready to make final adjustments and that the MBM diecasts are now available. Made my day for sure!! 153. He surpassed three drivers (passing Matt Kenseth, Joey Logano and Morgan Shepherd) from 8th to 5th for a total of 638 laps led at the track. The group worked together so well, it was a fantastic combination. Kurt actually used to be a guest during Busch (heh) broadcasts relatively frequently about ~15 years ago and was always very solid, it's good to see that he's still a great addition to a broadcast. I posted this comment on the relevant race's page, but he was a pit reporter for the July Busch race at Daytona in 2004 and he was a complete natural, didn't sound out of place at all and it took me most of the race before I realized who it was. A lot of fans speculate about Harvick or Bowyer or Knaus joining the broadcast booth upon retirement, but I'd be on board with Kurt if that is what winds up coming to pass. 161. Kurt and Kyle actually gave insightful analysis and talked about non-JGR drivers, unlike the former Hendrick drivers that have occupied the booth. I even recall one of them giving Ryan Sieg's sponsor a shoutout by name. Kurt and Kyle understand the value of sponsorship mentions. I thought Adam Alexander complemented the Busch Brothers very nicely. For those of you on the fan council, I hope you mentioned the quality of the broadcast if you liked it. 162. 1995-Subaru-WRX-Sti posted: 06.05.2020 - 11:49 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I agree, Kurt and Kyle did very well in the booth.
