Labbe is highly likely to be suspended from this race due to taking part in an illegal test on the Daytona road course. Would be cool to see an unexpected ringer in that car but I half expect DGM to just withdraw the #36 and put Pardus in the #90. 7. From what I've seen it's been primarily Miatas, but if you go back through his social media accounts you'll probably find other classes of endurance racing that he's done. If he's going to be comfortable anywhere in both series it's probably on a track like Road America. 10. UnderdogFan89 posted: 08.04.2020 - 8:07 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) #12 They violated the no testing rule, which is an automatic L2 penalty, which is a minimum 75 point penalty. I'm fairly certain the money fined is the minimum as well, though I cannot confirm this. There also doesn't seem to be any suspensions. In all, they seemed to get off with the minimum. According to Bob Pockrass, the owner points penalty will be applied to the #36 team. That doesn't seem that important, but it actually carries huge consequences. The #36 team was 24th in points, so would have drawn in the second grouping. Now, they are 34th in owner points. Also, since they have not started all the races and are now outside the top 30 in owner points, they are not guaranteed a spot in the 25-36 draw. In fact, for this weekend's race, they will start 37th, and I would guess they would start 37th at next week's race as well, due to AJ Allmendinger and the #16 being given priority due to their win earlier in the year. 14. UnderdogFan89 posted: 08.07.2020 - 12:50 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Annett draws his third pole in a row. However, he will not end as the luckiest driver in the Xfinity Series in regards to draws. That honor goes to Jessie Little, who has started 13th or 14th in 5 of the last 6 races with draws, and has an average draw position of 4. The losers, in case you were wondering, are Josh Williams and Chase Briscoe. They are more than happy to see the draws ending. 18. RaceFanX posted: 08.07.2020 - 9:52 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Road course ringer Andy Lally's #02 Chevrolet for this race indeed does feature a throwback paint scheme to Mark Martin's Apache Stove Cup car from 1982. Given Apache infamously stiffed Martin on any payment for that sponsorship I've already seen people joking online that they hope GMS' sponsors all paid in advance. I'm sure they have. Lally is being sponsored by the Cape Cod Aggregates Corporation in this race. 19. Jiminy posted: 08.07.2020 - 11:02 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Cindric drew outside pole for a road course? It was to be used only when the Xfinity or truck series race at a different track than Cup (since Cup pit crew members are unavailable for those races and teams have to bring in other people to pit their cars). However, due to the schedule changes this season, this will end up being the only standalone Xfinity race. The truck series also has just one standalone race this season, later this month at Gateway. 142. Jason24 posted: 08.08.2020 - 4:54 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Last lap. Our fastest lap data differs with just eight drivers (22, 21, 16, 90, 1, 68, 92, and 44), all of which could have run their fastest lap on the last lap. On a side note, the 13 should be much higher. Anonymous posted: 08.09.2020 - 7:11 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) @165 I believe the difference between your results and @161 is the missing 4 laps on nascar.com for fast lap data. I got the same results as @161 using that data. Let's compare Chastain and Gragson for example. You have Gragson 3rd, but we got Chastain 3rd. Chastain - Finish 7th (50%), Points 4th (35%), Fast Lap 3rd (15%) Gragson - Finish 6th (50%), Points 3rd (35%), Fast Lap 9th (15%) Your calculation of Gragson of 5.4 is the same as ours, but our calculation of Chastain is 5.35 compared to your 5.5. That difference is one position in the Fast Lap results. In looking at your data, you have Allmendinger's fast lap at 135.38, while nascar.com (missing the last 4 laps) has it at 136.268. I would assume both AJ and Cindric must have ran their fastest lap on the final lap of the race (makes sense considering fresh tires, racing for the win), accounting for the difference. In conclusion, we are all using the correct formula, but nascar.com not posting the fast lap data on the final 4 laps of the race caused the difference. Hopefully nascar.com is more reliable in future races (they were reliable for the truck race and today's cup race).
