I personally think these Daytona and Talladega races need to be shorter to eliminate that nonsense. If the race was 15 laps shorter, it would have been significantly better. If you don't want it shortened, make it a 4 stage race. 142. Anonymous posted: 08.28.2020 - 10:25 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) By looking at the wreck. That part was noted because during Allmendinger's post-interview he mentioned thinking Chastain would "work with me a little there" when Allmendinger went down in the turn, which would mean lifting/giving Allmendinger more space to work with. 144. The only real successful single file racing was at Daytona for the 500. But, that was because it's the 500. If you looked at Talladega in June, did you see any single file throughout the entire pack? No. Only a few times did cars get strung out, and it was just a couple cars. Don't forget that this package in the Xfinity and the package in the Cup series is different in many ways. 150. Someone take a DNA test of him and Ernie "Swervin" Irvan and make sure Irvan isn't his biological father. Someone mentioned that he tried causing a wreck in the last ten laps and he did. On the last lap down the backstretch he blocked Haley and about got turned, instead it gave him a wicked push and then he ran out of talent/brains and didn't know what to do with his car. If he fakes more to the outside then goes to the inside he has Allmendinger. But it wasn't even finished there. And it hasn't been mentioned by the race commentators or anyone else. After Crashtain wrecked himself and others his car was damaged to where he wasn't going at even minimum speed to stay on the race track. Instead of getting low or staying high he goes all over the race track. Harrison Burton goes low and then high and then low again just to get around Crashtain who was doing his best to block him or even wreck him. He drove like an absolute tool the last ten laps of the race and this of course isn't his first, second, third, or even fourth moment. Yet, he continues to have fanboy apologists. He's the reason why Kevin Harvick retired from Xfinity the way he raced Harvick at Darlington a couple of years ago. He still hasn't matured any since then. You're supposed to develop in Xfinity along with becoming more mature and use some wisdom. It's funny that some people are taking up for what he did, yet the same people "Chastise" Austin Dillon for "dumping" Aric Almirola to win the Daytona 500. The boy is going to hurt someone and possibly himself if he doesn't cut it out. Good luck getting a ride. Swervin Irvan 2.0 has arrived. 157. Harvick had the position at Darlington and that particular corner at Darlington you can't finish that turn two wide without making contact racing at those speeds. It's another thing if it's the last laps, but there was about 35 laps left. Be a racer and get back around him. Instead, he raced Harvick like a clown and took any air off of his car that he had and the result was bad for both of them. Chastain had the better car. It would have been interesting to see if he could have got around Harvick, instead he blew it and obviously has blown some possible opportunities because of it. He still hasn't matured any since that incident and its been two years. Instead of taking steps forward he continues to take steps back. The way he raced Burton AFTER he wrecked last night was something you would see on a video game. Childish! It reminded me when Austin Dillon was trying to get by Kyle Busch at Fontana in 2016 on the last lap while Busch was out of gas. Busch tried to wreck him.
