That's to be expected given that there are 2 Xfinity races to 1 Cup race but it wouldn't have been out of character for NASCAR to shorten the Xfinity races further, like to 200 laps apiece instead of 250. I guess its no wonder that we're not seeing any double, or would that be triple, duty drivers this week unless Chastain gets into the 77 Cup car again. 3. Lower budgets are not the only reason these teams stay at the bottom. 5. joey2448 posted: 09.09.2020 - 3:57 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) The Xfinity series will run a night-day doubleheader this weekend, with Friday's race being run under the lights, and Saturday's race run in the afternoon. Should be interesting to see how racy each event is. 6. JSPorts posted: 09.09.2020 - 5:35 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) I agree. I like this way of doing a doubleheader. It should create different emphases for each race. I imagine that the day race will have a lot more cars sliding around on a hot track, whereas the night race will be a game of getting the setup just perfect rather than saving tires & hanging on. 7. DI9_ForLife posted: 09.09.2020 - 9:52 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Seeing as how Richmond hasn't run a day race since 2017, it should be interesting to see how these guys handle it with night racing setups. All of this is weather permitting, of course... 8. joey2448 posted: 09.12.2020 - 12:55 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Tommy Joe Martins will start on pole for Saturday's race, thanks to his 15th-place finish in Friday's event. The field for Saturday is set with a top-15 invert based on Friday's results. 9. Sector posted: 09.12.2020 - 9:24 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) #8 Except the #54 ran by Kyle Busch in Friday's result won't be racing here, therefore only the Top 14 is inverted (Busch finished 3rd in Friday's race, the #54 would've started 13th and Burton 16th instead of 15th in which he finished 16th the previous race). 10. DI9_ForLife posted: 09.12.2020 - 10:13 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Should be an interesting start to the race today with Tommy Joe Martins and Brandon Jones on the front row. Jones will likely jump out in front easily but who knows 11. Anthony2 posted: 09.12.2020 - 1:46 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Ross Chastain must win this race today! 12. JSPorts posted: 09.12.2020 - 1:54 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) He's definitely due for a victory. I'd like to see him get one before the playoffs begin. That would really help him, too, because he's currently at a big playoff point deficit to his main competition for the championship this year. 13. Gragson, Haley, Grala, Briscoe and Cindric. 16. DI9_ForLife posted: 09.12.2020 - 2:44 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Epilepsy warning on NASCAR Nonstop 17. JSPorts posted: 09.12.2020 - 4:43 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Congrats to Allgaier & the whole JRM team. In the last 6 races, they have 3 wins & 352 laps led, after having 0 wins & 418 laps led in the first 19 races. Consistency is still a concern for this team - 7 finishes outside the top 20 in 25 races so far - but they're building good momentum to try to go win a championship this year. The finale being at Phoenix definitely helps, too. Allgaier has led more miles at Phoenix than any track other than Iowa in his Xfinity career. 29. JSPorts posted: 09.12.2020 - 4:59 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Brandon Brown just needs to finish 30th at Bristol (7 points) to make the playoffs if there isn't a surprise winner from outside the top 12. That little team has done a great job this year. 30. DI9_ForLife posted: 09.12.2020 - 5:11 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Another pretty good but anticlimactic race. Allgaier just had the perfect setup all weekend long 31. danny posted: 09.12.2020 - 5:12 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Jeb Burton best NASCAR finish in 6 years, Kaz Grala another Top 10, Lead lap days for Alex Labbe, Matt Mills two straight 13th place runs great run, and Jeffrey Earnhardt much needed 14th. But Allgaier on fire. He didn't win until these doubleheaders right time to make music on track and win and hey his kiddos got two trophies coming to the house. 32. danny posted: 09.12.2020 - 5:16 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) that was nice to see Tommy Joe Martins up front I think its been since the late 90s a 44 car started first in Xfinity. Thats a long long long time ago. But he finished 26th. 33. Zach posted: 09.12.2020 - 5:24 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Where did these good runs from Matt Mills come from? The guy ran around 25th place all last year as well as most of this season and now he gets two top 15's in a row. Props to him and the McLeod team! 34.
