Gary Collins scores a victory in dominating fashion, leading every lap.
I guess that balances out, he was the only driver who didn't lead a lap
in the first truck series exhibionn at Mesa Marin

Mike Hurlbert makes his truck debut, and scores a career best 2nd. He'd
never be a strong runner once the series started racing for points

Craig Huartson gains the title as the first driver to get a DNF in any
of the exhibitions

Is there a way to get the 1995 Non points event at Homestead for trucks.
Also, was there a qualifying race for the BGN?

Saugus Speedway promoted this race by dubbing the new NASCAR SuperTrucks
as "America's Fastest TAILGATE PARTY." This race was run as the second
half of a doubleheader with the NASCAR Featherlite Southwest Tour's
Featherlite Trailers 100. Lance Hooper, who would later race in the
Truck series, won the late model competition with future Truck Series
legend Ron Hornaday, Jr. finishing second. Steve Portenga, another
future Truck racer, finished sixth.
