Wow, off-road truck racer Rob MacCachren wins leading flag to flag.

This may be the only race on this site won by a driver without a
racing-reference page as MacCachren didn't run in any points-paying
NASCAR race.

First truck race ever for Mike Hurlbert.

Attendance: 5,000

This was just the second race ever for the SuperTrucks. It took place
alongside a NASCAR Northwest Tour race.

Venable Racing's Ford F-150s had the field covered in this one,
finishing 1-2 after running there the whole race. Off-road racer Rob
MacCachren records his only Truck victory of any kind, as noted above he
didn't stay when it became a points-paying series, and his teammate Gary
Collins finished runner-up as he continued to search for his first win.

Which is ironic because I have his Racing Champions NASCAR SuperTruck
Series die-cast in which he is in the #12 Ford F-150. I guess they
didn't get the memo when he didn't stick around.

NASCAR had already announced the new Trucks would have a 20-race points
season in 1995 at the time of this race. Adding to the irony MacCrachren
noted in victory lane that while off-road racing was his first love he
was really looking forward to racing in the new Truck series the next
year...while of course never came to pass.

This was MacCachren's first win ever on pavement.
