One driver commented it had only one turn, as it was D-shaped to such an extreme you turned the steering wheel once going into turn 1 and held it there until you came back to the short front stretch. 3. Not to sound like an old-ist with all the "The sport was so much better back then", but tracks like this is what made the starting years of trucks build the foundation for its most successful years. Tracks like this obviously werent meant for big time due to the size of the track and grandstands, but it sure created exciting racing from all around the track. Trucks should never go back to full on short tracking, but peppering in a couple of these bull rings on the current schedule would go a long way. The battle for the halfway money alone between Bob Keselowski and Tobey Butler was worth the price of admission, both fighting so hard for their race of the season. Keselowski's engine sadly cooked shortly after the battle, but Butler continued his great top 5 run. Skinner had the fastest truck on this day and they did that qualifying inversion thing again on this race, inverting 4 trucks. So while it says Skinner started 4th, he had the best qualifying time 12. This was the first of only two Truck series races that Butler led. 13. Rich posted: 09.21.2020 - 1:55 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Dave Despain and Benny Parsons were the commentators.
