win.

And Bryan Reffner finishes 4th in only his second-ever Truck start,
which would prove to be the best effort of his Rookie of the

T.J. Clark makes his only start in a Truck other than his #23. He
finished 12th in Jim Rosenblum's #51 Chevy, matching his career-best
finish.

Back in the day, Sprague was unstoppable on the "big" tracks of the
series, which were ironically mostly miles with the exception of Vegas
and Homestead.

This race weekend had it all: USAC Sprint Cars ran as well and the SCCA
Trans-Am Series ran on the road course.

I have no idea why TNN switched their lap by lap guy from Mike Joy to
Eli Gold starting in the 1996 season. Eli Gold wasn't bad but he didn't
make the races as exciting as Mike did. Gold sounded more matter of fact
while Mike brought so much Joy to the broadcasts. Just an opinion.

Eli Gold and Dr. Dick Berggren were the commentators. Glenn Jarrett was
the sole pit road reporter.
