Renfrow crunched the backend of his #41 in the initial contact but the whole thing really exploded when Joe Gaita spun and hit his stopped truck. Renfrow bailed out with such speed he may have rolled his ankle in the process but otherwise there were no injuries. Both Renfrow and Gaita were in the older, boxier 1995 F-150s. 5. 83andJoe posted: 05.16.2013 - 11:32 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Michael Dokken's truck was his normal #64, not #4. 6. 83andJoe posted: 05.17.2013 - 2:34 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) #31 sponsor: Ho-Chunk Casino/Concor Tool & Machine #65 sponsor: AAG Racing (no sponsor on truck) #2 crew chief: Barry Dodson #16 crew chief: Doug Williams First caution: #02 stopped turn 2 Second caution: #92 spin turn 3 Third caution (laps 27-34): #29, #92, #15 accident turn 1 Fourth caution: #77, #36, #20 accident turn 2 Fifth caution: #21, #43, #65, #20 accident turn 3 Sixth caution: #1, #43 accident turn 2 Seventh caution (laps 111-113): #23, #20, #36, #31 accident turn 4 Eighth caution: #41, #11 accident turn 1 Ninth caution (laps 140-147): #21, #23, #17 accident backstretch Tenth caution: #92 accident turn 4 Eleventh caution: #2 spin turn 2 7. 23andJoe posted: 04.04.2014 - 8:29 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) #01 sponsor: Calhoun's Barbecue Sauce Chevrolet (Billy Ogle, Jr.) 8. He shockingly started on the outside pole and gave pole sitter Bliss one wicked fight for the lead in the opening laps up through the first caution or 2. But after about 20 laps troubling smoke started trailing from the 64 and NASCAR had to black flag him for the trailing oil. According to the CBS broadcast it sounded like it was gear oil because they had turned a high gear ratio in qualifying and they had to start the race on the same ratio. At least that was my understanding. Never the less, the great race was never meant to be as it took several laps to correct the problem The race itself was a bit of a wreck fest which featured numerous hard crashes. Keselowski, Allen, Colabucci, Bickle, Brevak, Evans, Clark, Gaita and Renfrow all had trucks that were beyond recognizable for crashes by the end of the race as this track seemed to chew those trucks up on this day. It just wasnt Keselowski's day either. His crash was caused by contact with the lapped truck of Cragan and he pounded the outside wall. He was fine but when he was going to the ambulance, they opened the door right into his head and he suffered a noticeable gash when they interviewed him a few minutes later. Meanwhile up front the race came down to yet another fight between early truck series rivals of Hornaday and Skinner but Hornaday made the most of a late race restart as he became known for. Just as Skinner got to his bumper Hornaday was able to put the peddle down and go onto win and take the points lead at the time over Sprague who had an uneventful but unremarkable race finishing 8th. 9. nascar_vd / racing-reference.info posted: 04.24.2018 - 11:03 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) C1996-11 Awards Busch Pole Award: Mike Bliss Gatorade Front Runner Award: Ron Hornaday, Jr. Plasti-Kote Winning Finish Award: Rich Burgess (#3) Ventvisor Brand Super Deflector Award: Ron Hornaday, Jr. Featherlite Trailers Long Haul Award: Ron Hornaday, Jr. Cintas Rookie-Of-The-Race Award: Bryan Reffner 10.
