Ron Hornaday, Jr. wins a Truck race on a road course for the third, but
final, time. Keep in mind at this point in time there had only been four
Truck series road course races in total...

This impressive run was actually Joe Nemechek's first race in the Truck
series.

Fellow Winston Cup driver Ernie Irvan makes the first of his three Truck
starts this season but goes out with a mechanical issue.

Mike Hurlbert had a rough weekend. His #11 Ford caught on fire on
qualifying but he made the field on a provisional, starting at the back
alongside Nemechek. His race would also be a short one as his F-150
broke early and he placed last.
