Mike Skinner had his victory lane interview for this race done inside his team's transporter due to the weather. Chevrolet clinched the 1996 Truck series' Manufacturers' Championship with his victory. Jack Sprague was a contender in this one before he and Ron Hornaday Jr made contact leading to a cut tire and Jack hitting the wall. 9. 83andJoe posted: 06.23.2013 - 2:41 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) To the rear: Walker Evans (#20) backup truck #41 sponsor: Itco Tire / N.C. Irwin was the last truck out to qualify and shockingly he put it on the pole. While this would be the only outing for Liberty's #62 F-150 Irwin's top-5 run would see him later named to take over the team's primary #98 Raybestos Ford later in the season after the team parted company with its driver Butch Miller. 13.
