Bob Brevak makes his final NASCAR appearence as a driver. The Truck
Series regular had scaled back for 1997 and started putting others in
his trucks. He made it just 11 laps in this race before blowing a motor.

Worse, his teammate the late Tony Roper made it just 9 and finished last
after a similar problem

Caution #3 was for the #44 truck of Boris Said stalled on the track.

Great qualifying run for 55 year old coach Jerry Glanville unfortunately
ended in a crash just 32 laps in.

This was the first truck race after John Nemechek died and the drivers
all had decals on their trucks and they left open the parking space
where his hauler would've been parked.
