I can remember there being a buzz about Tolsma being the next great Truck driver and ultimately a graduate of the series. Mmm, didn't really happen. 2. By the time they got some decent funding, they hired Bobby Hamilton Jr. 3. Matt posted: 11.13.2008 - 1:12 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Truck owner for the 34 is Bob Brevak. 4. If he had some stability, there's no doubt he would have won a lot of races. 6. And yeah he was just at Rensi at the wrong time, Bobby Jr just came in at the right time when they got Harold Holly and was the perfect combonation... as long as they were winning lol. Bobby bailed as soon as a Cup ride opened up for him and Rensi then could never get back to that level they were at in '03. 9. If you asked the most hardcore truck fan at the time of this race to list the drivers in order of most likely to win, Randy Tolsma would've probably been listed somewhere around 20th to 25th. Tolsma admitted in victory lane he was so nervous at the end, his leg started shaking so bad he thought he was going to lose it. Then he thanked his sponsor Dole in victory lane but he forgot to mention he drove a Chevy during the interview. Chevrolet paid the drivers who won a 10,000 dollar bonus to mention them ("the Dole Chevy drove great all day") during the victory lane interview, he didn't and they didn't pay him the 10 grand, poor guy. 13. If it was Hornaday or Sprague in 3rd at the time, not Compton, Tolsma would have been punted and ended up in the wall instead of victory lane. Luckily, those two were nowhere near the lead this time. 14. Danish_Pie posted: 06.06.2020 - 3:15 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Still the only win for #61 in the truck series to date. 15. He would break through for his first career win in early 1998. 17.
