Saw Hornaday (My Favorite Driver) try to chase down Sprague the last portion of the race. Great race. Harvick crashed in turn 3 and his truck caught on fire. They spent quite a few laps cleaning that up. 2. Bramblegrunt posted: 01.09.2018 - 4:50 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) The race was delayed due to rain. Once they got going Joe Ruttman lead from pole but it didnt take long before Jack Sprague dispatched everyone in front of him to take the lead and never look back, making only 1 lead change for the event. There were 2 incidents in the race, a very early crash where Andy Houston got sideways on the backstretch and Rick McCray had nowhere to go but right into him, where they got bogged down in the backstretch grass. The bigger incident of the day happened in just about the same spot. Bliss had tried to get under Harvick in turn 1, they battled side by side onto the backstretch. Bliss appeared to move up and the 2 banged fenders down the backstretch before sending both into the wall into turn 3. Bliss continued with major damage while Harvick retired a bit perturbed at how Bliss had raced him. Bliss' crewchief felt the same way about Harvick Sprague cruised to victory where Bryan Reffner spun on the very last corner fighting for a spot which dropped him to the last truck on the lead lap 3.
