With Rezendes in the #2, regular driver Mike Bliss runs a second truck for Smith in this event, the #1, perhaps Smith's first ever entry with the number that would win him a title 7. Not sure why they put him in the 1 truck though. 12. 83andJoe posted: 07.06.2013 - 5:06 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) #5 crew chief: Cal Northrop 13. sk posted: 12.22.2013 - 3:04 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) It looks like it was Bliss' injury that led to Rezendes driving the #2, but with two weeks separating the events, Jim Smith had entered that second truck just in case Bliss felt well enough to run Bristol by raceday. Unusual circumstance, but it did sidestep the worry that Bliss would be less than 100 percent/need relief during the race, thus allowing Ultra to focus on their primary team with a healthy driver and also affording Bliss the chance to make driver points if he felt physically ready. 14. sk posted: 12.22.2013 - 7:56 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Article from motorsport.com: http://www.motorsport.com/nascar-truck/news/rezendes-to-sub-for-bliss-at-bristol/ 15. Near the end of the race he brought it out and crawled around the apron of the track for 20 laps. Not sure why because they had to have known they needed to do 32 laps to pick up 37th and 3 points. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
