In his last race in the series in 2000, he had a very savage crash at Dover that required him to have reconstructive facial surgery. 8. ericthenau posted: 05.27.2015 - 8:56 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) To clarify my last comment about this race, it was the last of 7 races that Tom Carey, Jr. ran in the 2000 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series that he had his Dover crash in, not his final career start overall in the series, which occurred in 2002 at Loudon. #30 sponsor: Sasser-Fogelman Associates #92 sponsor: Race-Scan #62 sponsor: Little Trees #68 sponsor: AutoZone #11 sponsor: Highland Propane #00 sponsor: Buyers Choice / Howes 9. Road rage kicked in and Bobby drove up and tried to wreck Boris on purpose and ended up spinning himself out instead and then cooked his engine doing a burnout to spin himself back in the right direction. I'll guarantee he was so mad. A few years later during race coverage, TV would've made a point to make sure they could talk to him right away for a great soundbite but back then they would at least let the drivers cool off a little before they interviewed them, or just not interview them at all. 10. It was a neat variant scheme. The Petty team ran some similar schemes on its Cup cars.) 12.
