Craftsman awarded the winner a $100,000 bonus for winning the series' 100th race. 3. This was the 1st truck race Joe Ruttman ever missed. 6. awesomegordonfan posted: 11.16.2010 - 3:05 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) It's weird how they gave money away for the 100th Truck event, but no one noticed the Cup 1000th event...do you agree with me? 7. The team struggled through much of the reminder of 1999 then moved up to the Busch series as the new #3 team in 2000 (as Dale Junior moved up to the Cup series with the old Busch team) and got back to its winning ways. 9. sk posted: 12.12.2016 - 1:49 am Rate this comment: (2) (0) Poor Joe Ruttman had to take start-and-park rides in the first two races of the season to remain eligible, but couldn't find a seat for the race and was left on the sidelines. A real shame. Barfield fought Hornaday hard for the lead for many laps, but his truck faded a bit at the very end. 10. Ron Hornaday, Jr. cashed in on the six-figure reward with the other eligible drivers having been runner-up Jack Sprague, sixth place Rick Carelli, and 16th place Butch Miller. Joe Ruttman would have been eligible if he had been able to compete. 12. The race was delayed but run in its entirety as the late afternoon was very dry A very bizarre accident occurred on lap 116 when Tom Hubert got tagged in the rear by David Starr, sending the 7 truck into a spin on the backstretch. Due to Evergreen's wall setup to have access to the infield, Hubert's truck snuck right in between a tiny gap in the backstretch wall and managed to enter the infield of the track nearly hitting the inside wall, a tow truck and a camper but somehow managed to hit absolutely nothing. It appeared that hed be able to finish the race without any problem but incredibly the truck suddenly caught fire while being serviced on pit road, turning a rather inane spin into a miraculous undamaged truck and then into a retirement after all of that. The fire was due to brake failure apparently. 13. Luke posted: 06.08.2018 - 8:58 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) No. 90 was a Chevrolet. 14.
