Sprague's victory vaulted him past Ron Hornaday, Jr. into the points lead for the first time in the season. 8. ol hank posted: 09.01.2017 - 10:43 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Tim Steele nearly launched his truck put of the track in turn 1, he had to be extracted by the crew and taken to a local hospital to tend to a broken leg. The incident dashed the ARCA star's bid at a full Truck season. 9. Replay showed that he basically climbed the wall on 2 impacts and nearly flipped on both as he hugged the wall. I-70 was a heck of a fun track and very high speed short track but its small pit road and angles of impact to these walls clearly show it was getting outdated to the speeds NASCAR was bringing. As stated, the race itself was dominated early by Dodges of Jimmy Hensley and Dennis Setzer. Tolsma and Compton also had great Dodge runs but once Sprague got out front, he was not to be denied, seeking redemption after so heartbreakingly losing the prior race at Pikes Peak. Even a late race crash by Randy Tolsma trying to pass teammate Compton for 6th, setting up a G-W-C, wasnt enough to phase Sprague as Setzer offered no real threat after the restart and Sprague claimed a relieving victory for his team 10.
