Also, this was the final race of Mike Dillon's Truck Series career. 2. Michael's brother made just three Truck series starts and the former CART RotY DNFed all of them. 3. The crash involving Lance Norick and Marty Houston was the only wall contact for the day. Up front late it was Rick Crawford having a good battle with Greg Biffle and Jack Sprague waiting in the wings. Biffle got by Crawford with 19 to go but Crawford fought right back off turn 4. Biffle went down the track on Crawford and the 2 made contact, nearly sending Crawford to the outside wall. Sprague was ready to jump but Biffle got away cleanly and Sprague was only able to get 2nd. Biffle went on to win with moderate comfort Bow Carpenter in his only NASCAR top tier start struggled all day to keep up, but the interesting story was that this was a truck purchased by Dave Marcis Motorsports, a truck that actually never ran. From what they said in the race, it sounded like Marcis wanted to run Martinsville and this truck was at least a year old if not more. 8.
