Joe Ruttman went from being a field filler (driving a start and park
effort as a team truck to the #88 truck) in this race in 1999 to being
the race winner the following year.

This was Joe Ruttman's first Truck win for Bobby Hamilton Racing, his
first in a Dodge instead of a Ford, and the second and last for him at
Phoenix. It was the first time he won a Truck race from the pole since
his win on the Heartland Park Topeka road course back in 1997.
