Coy Gibbs was listed as a DNQ so I wonder if Ware could not make the lineup and Gibbs was added? 2. rm posted: 08.09.2017 - 11:29 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) NASCAR.com also has Ware as a starter instead of Gibbs, not sure what happened there. No clue where he would fit in, maybe his time was disqualified? Anyway, the rest of the DNQ info: 35. 23 Shepherd - Conely Racing Chevrolet 36. 93 Edwards 37. 89 Boyd - Engineered Victories Inc. Chevrolet 38. 11 Stevenson - Chevrolet Presumably Ware would be #39. 3. ericthenau posted: 08.10.2017 - 11:40 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I've found out that the person who had their time disqualified was not actually Rick Ware, but instead Joe Ruttman, who had initially qualified 3rd for this race. The change of lineup from what happened there ultimately was what put Coy Gibbs into the race and took Rick Ware out of it. Ruttman's time in qualifying was disallowed after it was found by NASCAR that the #18 Dodge of Ruttman and Bobby Hamilton Racing had altered and different fuel that was illegal according to NASCAR. Needless to say, this is what caused Ruttman to lose 25 driver points and Bobby Hamilton Racing's #18 truck to lose 25 owner points following the conclusion of this race. I've also found a correction to the order of DNQ trucks (listed from fastest to slowest qualifying speeds) 37. #51 Rick Ware 38. #89 Stan Boyd 39. #11 Steve Stevenson The other two DNQs listed (Morgan Shepherd and Wayne Edwards) are in their correct positions. 4. This would be Powers' lone start of the 2000 season, although he DNQed again for two more races later in the season. 5. No, that's not a mistake on RR's end, either. Impact Motorsports even put out a press release about it! https://us.motorsport.com/nascar-truck/news/doug-george-pulls-double-duty/1802546/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
