Lots of crashes in this, the inaugural truck race at Kentucky. Rain
marred the race as well and ESPN didn't show the end of it so they could
go to Baseball Tonight. They did replay it at 2:30 am though.

I was at this race..yeah,the rain delay did suck. I didn't see the first
lap wreck since I was on the opposite side of the track walking to my
seats,but I remember the aftermath. Getting in and out of the place was
a pain too! We had to park near the interstate onramp.

Kurt Busch took a hell of a hit, who would have know he would be the Cup

Kurt Busch had an unbelievable crash in this race. One of NASCAR's
hidden huge crashes, if that makes sense. It's very hard to find footage
of, but it was an incredible lick.

This new speedway race replaced the Truck series' annual visit to the
Louisville Motor Speedway short track. Kentucky Speedway owner Jerry
Carroll purchased the short track specifically so he could get the Truck
series date and move it here, the short track closed after 2001 and was
demolished not long after.

Marty Reid and Benny Parsons were the commentators. Dave Burns and Amy
East were the pit road reporters.
