The track definitely was a handful and a couple trucks took some pretty hard hits including Brendan Gaughan and Brian Sockwell, both who admit they merely lost it in the turn. Gaughan was having a great run and looked to be one of the biggest contenders for the win early on. The truck that really emerged as the favorite was unsurprisingly, Jack Sprague but his NetZero Chevrolet sputtered in the closing laps. Ricky Hendrick deserved the win though. It was pretty fun to see him battle with Jon Wood, both young talented drivers with very famous car owner fathers. Wood faded in the latter stages but still got an impressive top 5 This race also featured the debut of longtime Journeyman ARCA driver David 'Frog' Hall 7. The team never recovered from losing Stacy Compton and was plagued by sponsorship issues until it was finally padlocked at some point during 2001. The next time either the 25 or 86 were on the track, they had switched from Ford to Chevrolet and were piloted by Phil Bonifield and his associates. (Presumably, Bonifield was at least using those numbers for owners points before completely assuming control under his Team Racing banner for 2002.) 8.
