Steve posted: 05.08.2006 - 8:10 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) It's shocking that the 2005 championship winning team wouldn't have a sponsor, but Jim Smith sold his race teams because of a lack of sponsorship, not from stupidity. Why is Biffle worth mentioning to you? He's the dirtiest driver on the circuit. Regan smith scores his first (and, as of now, only) Top 10 finish in the Truck Series. 7. Darrell posted: 09.26.2006 - 12:29 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Bang! closed down because apparantly their owner was a crook who couldn't stop screwing people over, so he took off, and now's getting sued by pretty much anyone who ever worked for him. As for Ultra, they couldn't get the support they wanted from Ford. They were already looking at cutting down to one team anyway, but it's too bad what happened to them. Coincidentially, Jimmy Spencer drove for Ultra, and leased space to Bang! 10. biffle16 posted: 12.31.2006 - 10:27 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Way to go, Greg! Also, don't listen to Steve. He wouldn't know a good driver when he sees one. 11. Dan posted: 03.17.2007 - 2:46 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) "Also, don't listen to Steve. He wouldn't know a good driver when he sees one." He's right. Biffle is a bit of dirty driver, but he's certainly not the worst at Rou$h. That dishonor belongs to Carl Edwards. 13. The Real Thomas posted: 08.02.2007 - 8:42 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) The main reason Jim Smith's team failed was because Dodge was forced to drop all of its funding from the Truck Series after 2005. Due to Toyota's monopolization of the series, Dodge was not able to compete financially. So, Jim nailed a deal with Ford after the season ended, but unfortunately, they were not able to properly fund his team either, in addition to the fact that a sponsor could not be found. 14. Matt posted: 09.14.2007 - 11:35 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Dodge didn't drop all support after 2005, they just decided to support Crocker and Evernham's #98 instead. 15. He closed down his Busch team after 2003 and moved to Trucks, but that only lasted one season. 20. He stayed towards the back-of-the-pack all day and kept far away from the battles. However, he cut a tire down towards the middle of the race. Right before he pitted, the caution came out, and he ended up being okay. Not surprisingly, he stayed right at the back of the field all day, and came home with the championship. 22. Rookie Brad Keselowski's first Truck series season ends with his lone DNQ in the series as his one-off effort in Mike Mittler's #63 didn't find enough speed to make the race. 27.
