Spencer is leading when a crash happens on the last lap, Hamilton JUST gets past when the caution coems out.... great. 2. I guess luck just wasn't on his side when it came time for the race. 5. Anonymous posted: 02.21.2005 - 12:20 am Rate this comment: (2) (2) good race but very cheap finish spencer had the win. 6. JJ Lehto posted: 02.21.2005 - 2:48 pm Rate this comment: (1) (1) What do you mean Spencer had the win? Hereached the line first, but according to rules its when the lights come on, and hamilton was ahead. It was clear as day. 7. Anonymous posted: 02.22.2005 - 3:35 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Clear as day. What irks me about the finish; not coming from a Spencer fan by any means, but it seems like when the caution lights come on is more of a judgment call than anything else. The lights could've come on a few seconds before they did or a few seconds afterward. If the lights come on as soon as Crafton spins and collects the cars above him, Spencer wins. Definitely the best race of Speedweeks sans the "Duels". I think that Brian France and the ruling body needs to evaluate how they hand out their speedway licenses. Todd Bodine nearly killed Rick Crawford -- a few more feet and Crawford hits the infield wall with his barrell rolling truck and you've got a nasty, nasty situation on your hand. It's not like Bonehead's a first time offender, either. I guess there's a reason why he's always driving for "teams that formed a month ago". 8. Anonymous posted: 02.22.2005 - 3:35 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I should correct that above. Not "barrell rolling" -- flipping's the right term. 9. Anonymous posted: 03.15.2005 - 11:34 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Bill Lester had a very solid run going -- he led early on and looked to have a stout truck before being caught a lap down and then being caught up in the wreck thanks to Brendan Gaughan's insanely loose truck. 10. I thought Hamilton earned the victory (per NASCAR's rules) over Spencer. Hamilton stayed towards the rear of the field all night until he started working his way up with 15 to go. His truck was hooked up!! 19. Who would've thought during that season that Brad would be a future champion in the Nationwide series and a rising Cup star? Just goes to show you, all you need is the right break sometimes. 31. I was only 10 when this race happened, but I vividly remember that I was dying laughing when they rolled Spencer out of victory lane and pushed Bobby in. I couldn't believe Spencer actually thought he won the race. It was ridiculously obvious that Bobby was ahead of him when the caution came out. 37. edwards19 posted: 12.12.2014 - 12:21 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) so i suppose brad k showed his impressive restrictor plate "prowess" (luck) early on in his career! 38. Also, Todd Bodine becomes the first driver to lead the most laps in a truck race at Daytona and not win. 40.
