Hornaday was robbed. Black-flagged for jumping the start ... because
Bobby Hamilton had such a bad start! He managed to come back to finish
eleventh, which is remarkable within itself. Hamilton was handed this
victory.

Outstanding runs by Butch Miller and Rich Bickle (where has he been!).
Chris Fontaine kept his nose clean for the unsponsored Bobby Hamilton
second truck and finished seventeenth.

Brandon Whitt was outstanding in his Toyota, but blew a tire after being
passed for second. He also had an outstanding qualifying effort at
Gateway but broke a transmission on the start. He will have multiple top
ten finishes before the season is over, I'm sure.

I agree. Hornaday was robbed of the victory. Felt bad for Brandon Whitt,
it looked like he was gonna finish 2nd or 3rd, but a cut tire ruined his
day. How ironic is it that in both Mansfield races, there have been
GWC's and both races where 254 laps?

David Starr recovered from a flat tire and early spin to record a ninth
place finish. The telecast pretty much ignored that, as well.

Boris Said was a breath of fresh air in the booth, though, and I'd love
to see him do more annoucing; perhaps the Busch Grand National event at
Watkins Glen later this year?

Yeah Boris did a great job in the TV booth. I think he's running the
Busch race at Watkins Glen.

This race was the NASCAR debut for 19-year-old Alex Yontz, whose going
to be driving a car sponsored by the girl group Vixen next year. Anyone
wanna guess on how long THAT's gonna last? ;)

This could be Bobby Hamilton's last win, after 3 races in 2006 he
discovered he has cancer, hopefully he will get better and return to the
truck series.

Hornaday wasn't robbed. He took himself out of the race. Bobby would
never do something like that.
