Man, what an awesome day it was for DEI yesterday. First, Truex wins the
Busch race, then, Kyle Busch, wins his 2nd straight Truck race w/ DEI
power. Feel bad for Hornaday though. It looked like he had it in the bag
until a pit stop got botched up w/ a loose lugnut.

Bill Lester had another great run going when Stewart stuck his nose
under Todd Bodine and Bodine tried to block him. Bodine got loose and
used Lester's truck to stabilize his own and Lester ended up in the wall.

Guy has no luck.

Deborah Renshaw's 12th-place finish was (and still is) a career high.

Ricky Craven was 2nd in points after this race, the 8th race of the
year. He wound up 14th after a string of awful finishes in the middle of
the year. He was out at Roush after the year obviously, as 14th in
points is unacceptable for Roush power in anything other than Cup. Well,
unless you're Roush's pet project Todd Kleuver.

9. That's a Busch Series race, not a Truck Series race. Truck and Busch
races had the same name...

Gotta' love them guys posting all those old truck races recently.

Fingers crossed for one of them posting either or both of Tolsma's wins

Believe it or not, 33 of these trucks were entered for all 25 races
(compared with just 23 trucks in 2019). It's amazing how strong the
series was in the mid-2000s before it became a home for trust fund babies.

Rick Allen, Phil Parsons and Michael Waltrip were the commentators. Ray
Dunlap and Wendy Venturini were the pit road reporters.

Ron Hornaday was crew chiefed by Todd Berrier because Wally Rogers was
not at the track as his wife was giving birth.
