First race at 'Dega. Ended in a while wreck started by Skinner and took
out a lot of the front-runners. Bodine gets penalized for going below
the yellow line.

Great run for A.J. Allmendinger in just his second start.

Derrike Cope was having a strong run as well before he got caught up in
that wreck.

It was cool to see Derrike Cope come back to the Top 5 after having a
flat tire earlier, but it was unfortunate that he and Mike Wallace both
got wrecked on the last lap. Mike and Derrike are two of the best
drafters, and Curtis Key's truck has only two Top 15s this season.

Rookie of the race...Robert Richardson in 16th! Well, "Fireball" (A.J.
Allmendinger) is a closed-wheel racing rookie, but Robert was the best
of the rookie-of-the-year entrants.

On Friday, Juan Pablo Montoya finished 3rd in the ARCA race. He said,
"It (the racing) was freaky!"

amazing that Bodine got that penality with only a handful of laps to go
and ended up coming back to finish 4th

Mark Martin wins a Truck race just one day after dropping the bombshell
he was leaving Roush Racing for a part-time deal with Bobby Ginn in
Sprint Cup for 2007. Martin had originally been expected to move to the
Truck series with Roush full-time in 2007, thus the reason he was
running a good number of events in the series in 2006 to seemingly get
ready before he changed his mind.

This was also the only year this race was called the John Deere 250, the
tractor company was replaced by Mountain Dew as the title sponsor for
this race in 2007.

In this race, there should have been a 20 truck wreck, and somehow, it
did not occur. They were 4 and 5 wide 3 or 4 rows back... and only a
handful of trucks got taken out.

The commentators for the race were Rick Allen, Phil Parsons and Michael
Waltrip with Ray Dunlap, Krista Voda and Hermie Sadler on pit road.

The Todd Bodine recovery from 26th to 4th in 4 laps might be more
impressive than Dale Earnhardt's recovery. He gained 12 spots in the
first 3 laps, than on the last lap, gained 10 spots just off turn 2 and
into turn 3. While he did crash Derrike Cope to get a top 5, he still
nonetheless made a miraculous recovery.
