I hope Chris Wimmer just withdrew from the race, and didn't DNQ. That
takes a great aura of suck in order to DNQ for a race with a short field.

Wimmer withdrew--he crashed in practice, and they didn't have a backup.

Also, Buddy Lazier's debut, not a bad run. I've got to go for the ones
from my state.

"Great aura of suck" - That's hilarious, Darrell!!!!!!!!!! I haven't
heard that expression before. Yeah, I don't think it's possible to DNQ
in a race where only 36 trucks show up since 36 is what they usually run
in the truck races.

Possibly the ONLY race in NASCAR for 1996 Indy 500 winner Buddy Lazier.

With 95 winner Villenueve and 96 winner Lazier in the race, this was the
first time a Truck race had two Indy 500 winners in the field.

Looking at this race in the context of the rest of the season, Kvapil
really had things going well and was only 181 points out of the points
lead, but then his season seemed to fall apart afterwards.

Driver Change : #06 Casey Kingsland. He attempted to qualify the 06 car
but didn't take the green flag. Bobby Dotter started the race.

Rick Allen and Phil Parsons were the commentators. Ray Dunlap and Adam
Alexander were the pit road reporters.
