Andy Lally had to be taken to the hospital after his wreck. He was OK,
but he took a wicked lick.

When Lally hit the wall and broke the concrete, a piece of rebar went
into the cockpit and stabbed him in the tricep.

Lally recently posted a story on instagram detailing how he was stabbed
by a piece of rebar when he broke the wall in this race. Really could've
been a bad wreck.

"#FlashBackFriday to 10 years ago tonight where Jacques Villeneuve
started one of many wrecks in his career, this one ended with me
breaking the wall at @phoenixraceway and having a piece of rebar stick
through the truck and into my arm. The #NASCAR medical staff did an
amazing job of watching over me and making sure I was taken care of
well. I left the hospital that night with 40 stitches and a cool scar in
my tricep. NASCAR also payed close attention to how the injury happened
and mandated door plates on all Trucks, Nationwide and Cup cars a month
later in the offseason."
