Also great run for Justin Marks, coming worst to eighth. Congrats also to Willie Allen for winning Rookie of the Year in an unsponsored truck. 2. There was a caution with 2 to go because a truck got sideways, but none when Willie Allen spun on the last lap. Thankfully it didn't effect the championship, but it costed Kyle Busch a win. 4. Shame to see them go after being such a constant in the truck series. From Bill Sedgwick to Kevin Harvick, Bobby Gill to David Starr, Aric Almirola to Dennis Setzer, a lot of talent climbed into the cockpit of the #75 Spears truck over the years. Fitting that Hornaday won the title in the same race, he drove for them in some of the original exhibiton races in 1994-95. Were they the last original full time team left on the tour? 7. Still a total shame that the 75 team shut down. 9. Phoenix posted: 02.26.2008 - 10:03 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Circle Bar didn't start until 1997, two years after the series did. Darrell's team skipped most of the late 90s and early 2000s--they came back with Toyota in 2004. 10. A loose wheel took Skinner out of championship contention and a late race wreck knocked Jacques Villeneuve out of contention for his first career win. 11. Roush was around in Trucks in 1995 but only in a limited capacity (6 races) starting after the halfway mark of the season. They didn't move to full time until 1996 with Joe Ruttman Similar for DW's team, they weren't full time until 1996 with Bill Sedwick although DW did run his own truck for a few races in 1995. Billy Ballew'a team started up in 1996 (and even back then they couldn't keep a driver for more than 10 races) Looks like my original comment was correct, while some teams have been around since near the start of the Truck series the end of the Spears #75 was the end of the original full-time teams 12. Wimmer made the field and basically rode around all night. 13.
