Expect him to win more and finish in the top 5 in points this season. One of the best races of the year. Also great runs by mcCumbee and Landon Cassill 5. Anonymous posted: 05.17.2008 - 4:09 pm Rate this comment: (1) (2) Someone needs to teach Kyle how to drive first. This was only the 2nd truck race this year he didn't wreck someone. For once he was on the receiving end. Oh and Ron "failed" in Cup because he was driving for a team that was only there to make extra cash for Indy racing. How would Kyle do with a team that had less than a dozen employees dedicated to him by the end of the year? 7. It's not like he's won three championships and currently has more wins than anyone else in the history of the Truck Series. Oh wait... 8. Plus, if Ron had any real talent, he would've been able to make the most of the "terrible" cars he had. Anywho, congrats to Matt Crafton on his first win! 9. samfan22 posted: 05.18.2008 - 12:42 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Great runs by the whole top 3, along with Cassill in 9th. 10. Congrats on your 1-178 winning record, Matt Crafton! 12. b4il3y posted: 05.31.2008 - 5:19 am Rate this comment: (2) (0) Matt has always been good, just never got that win. Now, over the hump, he'll get a few more. 13. 4320 posted: 06.21.2008 - 12:47 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Great run for Matt Crafton picking up his first career CTS victory. I couldn't think of anybody more deserving. Crafton has come close in the past years, but has always seemed to have fallen just short. Congrats again and I hope to see that yellow #88 in victory lane a few more times this season. 14. 18fan posted: 07.22.2011 - 6:10 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) And it took him until July 2011 to win again. 15. North Carolina racer Brian Sockwell makes his first Truck series start in almost five years (although he did DNQ a pair of races in 2007) with this run turning out to be his last appearance in the series. 20. 48johnsonfan posted: 07.27.2018 - 9:50 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) The full race is finally on YouTube. Who's ready to experience Matt Crafton's first win in the truck series? 21. The previous record was held by Bryan Reffner, who finally broke through in his 122nd Truck start with a victory. Unfortunately, Reffner's triumph came in the fall Texas race in 2000 and was overshadowed by four brutal, grinding accidents and the death of Tony Roper in one of those accidents. As the Trucks have trended more towards a driver development-based series since, very few drivers have even approached triple-digits before winning a Truck race. The closest we've come since then have been John Wes Townley (87 starts) and James Buescher (76 starts). Behind them, several drivers have run their start total up into the 60s before winning. Looking at the series' all-time starts list, it's very hard to envision anyone at or around 100 winless starts picking up a non-fluke victory, much less topple Crafton's mark. Jordan Anderson did come up just .010 of a second short of winning in his 102nd start at Daytona this year, though. 23.
