Tires had problems to last over 27 laps for this race. Micheal Waltrip even said there is no way for the tires to last 50 laps. The longest run for this race was 35 laps. It was caused by tire problems. If Willy on Wheels bad mouths Colin Braun for this race, he is a complete moron. Colin Braun got into the wall because goodyear couldn't produce a tire that could last over 35 laps. A lot of trucks crashed or go into the pits because the tires had problems to last 27 laps! That is a not Colin Braun issue, but a Goodyear problem. 4. Anonymous posted: 05.30.2009 - 10:57 pm Rate this comment: (0) (2) Brain Scott got his first win, but he lucked out. Somehow his tires lasted 50 laps. This race was plagued with tire problems. The problems for this race was almost as bad the Brickyard 400 was. The cautions were caused by tire problems. 5. I was out in the yard all day and tunned in too late to see what happened to him. 6. You could even see the reflection of the fire in the cockpit cam. 10. I do not think it is just Goodyear's fault, I think it is also the track's fault. I trust Goodyear. Also, remember, Crawford's tire went down because I believe it was that idiot Sauter that nabbed his left rear tire. Plus some trucks had left rear tires going flat which would not be Goodyear's fault anyway. The trucks that had those issues either had ONE of TWO problems: 1 Contact or 2 either too much camber or not enough trying to push the edge. 11. The nice part about races like this where there's a lot of attrition is that some unlikely names end up in the top 5. Great run for Setzer and White especially. Also Skinner made a great save early on in the race. 12. Willy on Wheels posted: 05.31.2009 - 12:12 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) You can't blame Goodyear for all of braun's accidents 13. DaleSrFanForever posted: 05.31.2009 - 12:48 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) The problem Goodyear has been having lately is that their tires are turing into powder after wearing out instead of releasing little balls of rubber that stick to the racing groove and prevent the track from grating the tires. The powder just floats up into the air, and the track continues to eat tires all day. That's what happened at Indy last year and today for the trucks. It was a great finish after Kyle got out of the way. Watching the regulars fight it out was awesome. Brian Scott, Setzer, Jason White, and Starr put on a hell of a show at the end. Its just too bad Pee Wee stunk up the first 170 laps. I was thinking about turning the race off and watching something else. I just hate watching somebody of Kyle's low character dominate. But I thought "Nah, maybe he'll have tire troubles too." AND HE DID!!! I was so happy. I also watched the entire Nationwide race and got to see him knocked out of the way. What a day!! Luckily the Truck Series has quite a few stand alone races coming up so I get to watch the REAL Truck drivers fight it out for an entire race. 14. I think he's going to be a good driver he's just stuck in not so great equipment right now. 15. David Starr led laps 183-186, then Brian Scott led from pit stops to the finish. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
