Mario Gosselin comes back from a spin in the tri-oval to get his career-best Truck series finish of 6th. 2. Although I wish it had been Aric that won. Nationwide start and parker Justin Hobgood gets a top 10, so too does Mario Gosselin with his new sponsor after an incredible save in the tri-oval. Most lead changes in Talladega truck history too. 3. His whole career has been a joke, so that was perfect. And I love the way he said Max Papis looked like a dart without feathers (although he did). He should have said he looked like a drunk trying to make an illegal U Turn. Highlight of the race: Todd Bodine spinning out on his own on the wet pit road. 4. I'm surprised nobody mentioned Crissy Wallace getting a solid 13th place finish. 5. Bell needs to be replaced. I know he had a tire issue but season wise, he has completed the fewest laps of those that ran EVERY race. AND Dennis Setzer HAS RUN THREE(3) LESS RACES AND SETZER HAS MORE LAPS COMPLETED THAN HIM, ABOUT 50. 7 DNF's isn't going to impress a sponsor. At least if Benson was in the truck they'd be competitive, which with Bell they aren't even close. 7. Congrats to Hobgood & Super Mario getting career best finishes in NASCAR. Hobgood's start-&-park deal is there since he races part-time in the ISCARS Dash Series alongside with Randy Humphrey. I know he's got talent ever since he was the developmental driver for Germain Racing. They used the same truck at Daytona 2009 that got gobbled up in the Big One on lap 50 when he was running in 8th there. 8. It figures that the truck will falls apart since that the fastest the team ever run in a race...lol...jk...Wallace is one heck of a good superspeedway racer though. Every race that Jason White qualifies in the top ten with the exception of Las Vegas, 1 month ago, his truck's engine always expires after being near the top of the charts in the practices on the same race weekend i.e. look at ORP, Atlanta & Talladega practice sessions for this year. 9. I was barhopping Friday and Saturday night for Halloween so I didn't catch the race. Looks like Chrissy Wallace might blow S**** Wallace out of the water. Good run by David Starr. 12. calegale posted: 11.02.2009 - 4:05 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Austin Dillon made the race but his truck failed post qualifying inspection so he was sent home putting Jennifer Cobb in the race. 13. It's also his 4th consecutive start with a win in the Trucks and his 15th career win puts him 8th all time, one back of Greg Biffle for 7th. Him and Greg are the only two drivers with 10+ wins in all top 3 series. This was Almirola's 2nd runner up finish of the season. He's 20th in the standings despite only running 13 races and he's ahead of 7 drivers with as many or more starts. Todd Bodine got his 9th top five in 9 RP races in the Trucks with an average finish of 2.38. HT Motorsports teammates Terry Cook and David Starr both finished in the top five. This was Cook's first top five in the last 16 races after having 3 in the first 6 races of the season. Over this past stretch he had 5 10th place finishes as his best runs. This was Starr's first top five in the last 11 races. Mario Gosselin and Justin Hobgood got their best career Truck finishes, 6th and 9th respectively. This was Compton's 8th top ten of the year but he has yet to finish in the top five; his best finish this year is 6th, three times. This was Setzer's 3rd top ten in his last 4 starts, but him and his team haven't attempted 3 of the last 6 races. So good on him! Matt Crafton's 18th top ten of the season is a new career high for him and gives him the most top tens so far this season. But he's led only 73 laps to Hornaday's 1055 and zero wins to Hornaday's 6 so that's where the 202 point difference lies. Chrissy Wallace gets her best career finish in the Trucks in 7 starts with a 13th place finish. I think she needs more races before we can talk about whether she's better than Steve or not. 14. Personally, I never really saw this as a stat with much meaning. I see the series as separate entities from one another because there's generally different drivers in each. For one thing, there's not a whole lot of driver who have ran trucks, Nationwide, and Cup regularly. It's a stat that Kryle Busch is focused on that really won't mean that much. He'd be better off focusing on Cup. 15. 18fan posted: 11.03.2009 - 6:58 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Kit, I'm just curious who your favorite driver is. 16. No matter how well he runs if James Finch wakes up on the wrong side of the bed one morning he'll probably get fired that afternoon. 20. Talon64 posted: 11.04.2009 - 7:38 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Buescher will also be driving a partial Truck schedule for the newly-formed Turner Motorsports team, minimum of 19 races which probably depends on whether he can last the whole season in the 1. As an 18 year old he finished 7th at Gateway in his 4th career start and won the pole for Memphis in his 6th career start, all in the Braun 32 last season. He only had 1 finish outside the top 20. 21. AlmirolaFan88 posted: 06.22.2011 - 12:52 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) Last race ever for MRD Motorsports.
