Aric Almirola looked strong but couldn't hold on for the win. Mike Bliss does a great job in the #25 truck. Hope Skinner's team is strong next year, the points battle this season was a bit of a snoozer. 2. The tough part for next year in competitiveness will be the fact Roush pulls out of the trucks series. That could mean one more start and part car in the field. 3. Congrats to him and his team. Were it not for a gutsy pit call and some ballsy driving from Benson last year at Homestead they would have three in a row. He deserves it and I am happy for him. Kevin Harvick does really well in Trucks and NWide. I wonder if he'll ever become a Sprint Cup driver. 6. I have NEVER cared for him and the whole thing from last year was the topping on the cake. Skinner WILL win it next year. I personally believe Skinner is a better driver but just has bad luck. 7. 18fan posted: 11.14.2009 - 2:32 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Harvick and Busch finish one two in this race two years in a row. Harvick has won seven Nationwide and three Truck races since his last Cup win, which was 105 races ago. 8. But Turner is bringing two, RCR is bringing two, and Gosselin will probably be full time. I think this series is going to be okay after I was very pessimistic earlier this year. 9. Terry Cook extended his consecutive start streak to 296 with a start and park. Truck Series debuts for Tim George Jr., Dan Brode, Robbie Brand, Brad Sweet, and Kevin Conway Hornaday becomes the oldest champion in any of NASCAR's top 3 touring series at age 51. 10. petty43 posted: 11.15.2009 - 2:20 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) i think there were 17 people at this race. 11. This was Kyle's 11th top 2 finish. Between Nationwide and Trucks he has 30 in 48 races. Aric Almirola's 7th top five of the year has the 15 Ballew truck just 1 point out of 10th in the owners standings behind the 14 of HT Motorsports. Hornaday's 15 top fives this year are the most he's had in a season in Trucks since 1998. Sauter's 7th top five has him in the top five in points with just a race to go. The last time a rookie finished in the top five in points in Truck was Travis Kvapil in 4th in 2001. Mike Bliss gets his 2nd top ten in 6 starts in the Trucks this years, the first coming in the 40 Curtis Key Chevy. If Crafton doesn't win at Homestead he'll become the first driver to finish runner-up in points without winning a race in a season since Rick Crawford in 2002 when Mike Bliss (who won 5 races) beat him by just 46 points. Crawford went on to win a race in each of the next 4 seasons. Stacy Compton got his 60th career top ten in the Trucks but is the only driver in the top 20 in points without a top five. Still, he's only 25 points behind Rick Crawford for 10th. Ricky Carmichael finishes 18th in his debut for Turner Motorsports. Teenage sprint car sensation Brad Sweet finishes 3 laps down in 22nd in his NASCAR debut; he's also run a couple ARCA races this year, started 8th in both with finishes of 16th at Kentucky but wrecked on lap 55 of 100 at Chicagoland and finished 34th. 12.
