Also cool to see Ken Schrader get a top 5 for Kevin Harvick Inc. 2. Trucks were just bouncing off of each other, driving through the grass, pounding the wall! Great stuff! 4. dUDE gUY posted: 06.05.2010 - 12:53 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) I really enjoyed this race. There was a lot of great racing on the track, even for the lead, despite Bodine's domination of this event. Speaking of Bodine, this was his second win (and third time overall) in the truck series that he has led 100+ laps. Austin Dillon wins his first pole, leads his first laps and gets his best career finish so far in the truck series. Ricky Carmichael had an excellent run going, but mechanical problems lead to a hard crash with the outside wall and ended his race. Despite the crash, Carmichaels run bodes well for him and the #4 Turner Motorsport truck. James Buescher gets his third top 10 in 5 starts, matching his top 10 count from his full season effort last year. 5. For what it's worth, he can't do any worse than John Wrecks Weekly. Looks like it's a good thing I didn't see this race (other than YouTube highlights). I can't stand Todd Bodine. 8. joey2448 posted: 06.05.2010 - 5:27 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) is there anyone willing to step up and beat todd bodine at texas??? why does he keep winning here? 9. tweek posted: 06.05.2010 - 6:48 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) todd bodine sponsor valvoline 10. Brendan Gaughan won 4 races in a row at Texas, maybe someone should put him in a truck for Texas. 11. That should be revised. 12. Smokefan05 posted: 06.06.2010 - 1:47 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I guess NP Jr. has found his calling in NASCAR. I hope he gets a full time ride. 13. martin-n-rusty posted: 06.06.2010 - 2:14 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Same with Narain Karthikeyan. Reasonable finishes, short of wrecking at Kansas. You have to figure for some of these foreign drivers, if F1 doesn't come calling, or they use up their chances there, that they will give NASCAR a try. 14. His 7th top five in 8 races this year has given him a pretty big point lead. Johnny Sauter gets his 10th career top five in his 44th career start, 5 of them being top 2 finishes and 4 of them coming since 2009. His other 5 top fives are all 5th place finishes. Austin Dillon won his first career pole, led the first 20 laps and finished a career-high 3rd. He now leads the ROTY standings by 9 points over Justin Lofton. Mike Skinner gets his 5th straight top ten, with 4th being his best finish of the season. Ken Schrader gets his 10th career top five in his 93rd career start, his first since Martinsville in 2008. James Buescher gets his 3rd straight top ten, as many as he had in all of 2009 in his rookie season in the Trucks. Timothy Peters finishes in the top 20 for a 2nd straight race after posting finishes of 23rd and 25th in the two previous. But he's gone from leading the standings by 82 points to 3rd, 135 points behind, in the last 4 races. Nelson Piquet Jr. gets his 3rd top ten in 5 stock car starts, 2 in 3 in the Trucks and 1 in 2 in ARCA. Ron Hornaday Jr. had a tire go down late and ended up 9th, his 5th top ten of the year which still leaves him 4th in the standings and 155 points behind Bodine for the point lead. Johnny Benson gets his 5th top ten in 5 races this year. 16. S&P posted: 06.08.2010 - 12:59 am Rate this comment: (0) (1) What's the official count on Start & Park teams for this event? Man, I love seeing trucks pull out early with vibrations! That is really exciting for me as a fan! 17. That ain't bad. 19. Anonymous posted: 06.11.2010 - 3:11 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) But the series is really healthy because it allows underdogs to get good finishes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111111 20. It does get on my nerves when they're out-qualifying and sending home guys who plan on actually racing, though. 21. RaceFanX posted: 11.04.2017 - 12:29 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Todd Bodine's win here was his sixth, and final, Truck series victory at Texas. Bodine's win came in the first race his Germain #30 team ran with its new several race sponsorship from Valvoline. This would be the team's only win in the motor oil company's red, white, and blue colors; to date it's Valvoline's last win as a sponsor in NASCAR's top-3 series. 23. He won 6/12 races at Texas from fall 2004 to summer 2010, and ended up winning 1/3 of the races he started there. I sure miss watching him at the track. 24.
