The racing on the final restart was incredible and it's a miracle they didn't all wreck. I know he's not leading the points anymore, but I think Aric will end up with the championship. Too bad the Trucks don't race for another month. 2. He'll definitely win a championship in the right situation, which I believe is this year. Aric has lots of talent. Yet another top-10 for Piquet Jr. I think the finishes he has had so far in his limited starts should merit him running a full season next year. 3. Obviously he's talented, but he's never driven junk either. 4. That was a pleasure to watch, and a very impressive performance on his part. 6. potatosalad48 posted: 06.12.2010 - 7:14 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) AWESOME racing 2 day. Congrats to Aric Almirola. 7. Anonymous posted: 06.12.2010 - 8:04 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Todd Bodine looks plain silly for complaining about hp earlier this year. Chevy and yota are even at best. 8. Anonymous posted: 06.12.2010 - 8:05 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Great racing as others have mentioned. I saw the last 60 laps or so after the rain delay and I figured that Bodine, Busch, or Dillon would win. What helped Almirola was the final restart when Busch tried to go on the outside of Bodine and barely made contact with Bodine which broke his momentum enough to let Almirola get back beside him. Dillon did a good job coming back to the top 5 following the pit road penalty for dragging equipment out of the box near the end of the race. Jason White brought out the Ford he ran at Daytona and did a good job today. 9. Last year after this race he was leading the points, this year he is 10th and 345 points out of the lead. 10. In both Aric's wins, he only led the final 7 laps. Johnny Benson amazingly doesn't get a ride for the event in his home state despite having 5 top 10s in 5 starts. 11. 18fan posted: 06.13.2010 - 3:56 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Second straight pole for Austin Dillon, second straight rookie polesitter for the Michigan race, and third straight time the winner came into the race with 1 or 0 career wins. 12. On Lap 12 under caution, Hornaday was penalized a stop and go for adjusting air pressure on pit road. He was running third, and had to restart 27th. â?¢ Austin Dillon was penalized for removing equipment on Lap 82, and dropped as low as 17th. â?¢ Nelson Piquet Jr. (10th) posted his third top-10 finish in his fourth series start. â?¢ On Lap 35 a rain shower soaked the track, causing a 40-minute red flag. 13. slowbird posted: 06.13.2010 - 6:16 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) nice to see a Ford in the top 10 for a change. also, Jason White has a lot of potential. 14. I didn't think Aric would be able to hold him off but he drove as perfectly as he could. And Aric could be one of those guys who just needed that first win to really break through and now he might break out with a few. Austin Dillon's going to win a race before the year's out after back-to-back poles with laps led and top fives to back them up. He's also taken a commanding lead in the ROTY standings, 16 points over Justin Lofton. Timothy Peters is still a solid 6th but he's lost the momentum he had after his strong start to the year so I don't know if he'll be able to mount a championship challenge. He's still doing a great job though. Jason White's been doing really well too in his lesser equipment. 15. Austin Dillon's the first rookie to get back-to-back top 5's (other than Johnny Sauter last year) since Brian Scott in the last two races of 2008. He's the first rookie with back-to-back poles since Kurt Busch in 2000. Todd Bodine's 6 race top 5 streak is his longest since a career-high 9 race streak from the last 6 races of 2008 to the first 3 of 2009. Timothy Peters gets his 25th career top ten in his 77th career start. Donny Lia's 13th is his best Truck finish since 10th at Las Vegas in 2008. He made his 30th career start. James Buescher's top 10 streak comes to an end at 3. 16.
