Only Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick have led more laps than Austin. James Buescher has five front row starts but zero poles this season. Matt Crafton has finished in the top ten in eleven consecutive races. Ricky Carmichael leads a lap for the first time in his Camping World Truck Series career. Ken Schrader has six top ten finishes in six starts for KHI this year. Truck Series debuts for David Mayhew and Jason Bowles. Jeffrey Earnhardt scores his first top twenty finish in his third career start. 3. potatosalad48 posted: 09.26.2010 - 8:07 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) good job austin dillon. 4. Yes, since Bowyer's Cup team got busted for cheating it means RCR's truck team is cheating as well amirite? Get over yourself please... 6. LOL Austin Dillon gets his 2nd win of the season from his rookie-record 5th pole. After only 2 top tens in the first 7 races of the season, Austin has 12 in the last 13. He's the first rookie to win multiple races in a season since Carl Edwards in 2003, the 4th rookie in series history to do so (Brendan Gaughan in 2002 with 2 wins, and Kurt Busch with a rookie-record 4 wins in 2000). Johnny Sauter finishes runner-up for the 4th time this season, tied with Todd Bodine for the most. He's just the 2nd driver to have 10 top fives so far this season. James Buescher gets his 2nd straight top five, his 6th in 17 starts this season. Even after missing the first 3 races of the season he has a shot of finishing in the top 10 in the standings, he's 84 points out. Todd Bodine's 14th top five of the season is one off of his career high of 15 from 2008. Matt Crafton's 11 race top 10 streak is a new career high. But his 11 laps led would be his worst in a season since 2006 when he was 14th in the standings. Aric Almirola's 8th straight top ten is also a career high for him. Brian Ickler picks up his 5th top ten in 7 starts in the #18 KBM truck this season. The #18 is now 39 points behind the #30 for the lead in the owners standings. Justin Lofton gets his 5th top ten in the last 8 races, where he's scored the 7th most points of anyone. Ricky Carmichael has his 2nd top ten in the last 3 races. Ken Schrader finishes 10th for a 3rd straight race in the #2 KHI truck. 7. I can't stand watching the series when it's being dominated by washed up has-beens like Mike Skinner, Todd Bodine, or Ron Hornaday. So it was nice to hear someone else besides those losers won this race. By the way, why does nobody get on those guy's cases for occupying some of the fastest, most competitive rides in the series, and making it more difficult for developing drivers to find a decent ride? Kyle Busch creates his own team and only runs around half the races, Harvick even fewer, yet they both create opportunities for young drivers, and all anyone can do is bitch whenever they run a race and do well. How about complaining that Ron Hornaday, who has no intention of ever moving back up to a higher level in NASCAR, rides around in what is a top 5 truck piling up meaningless records? Nope, let's just bitch about Kyle Busch, he's a much easier scapegoat. 9. If I want to watch Cup stars, I'll watch Cup racing. If I want to watch Nationwide stars I'll watch tapes of the Busch Series from 2003. And if I want to watch probably the best of the top 3 NASCAR national touring series right now, then I'll watch the Trucks. And what are you talking about, "making it more difficult for developing drivers to find a decent ride"??? Hello, Austin Dillon? James Buescher? Justin Lofton? Ricky Carmichael? Nelson Piquet Jr.? Aric Almirola, who's used the Trucks to revitalize his career? Tayler Malsam, who's back with his old Randy Moss Motorsports ride? Hell I'll even throw Jennifer Jo Cobb in there. For the most part the Trucks have had the best balance of standby drivers who make up the identity of the series and contend for the championship, the up and coming drivers looking to make a name for themselves to move up the ladder, and Cup guys coming in to give the series extra attention. This is probably the worst year of the Trucks in that regard thanks to Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick but it's a million times better than where Nationwide is right now. Kyle and Kevin, or the lack thereof, is why I really enjoyed this race. Even though Austin Dillon had a handle on the field for most of the race. 10. Don't care if they are age 15 or 65. 11. 23andJoe posted: 04.14.2014 - 1:23 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) #20 owner: Donald Long (same for all races this year) 12. Chris Jones is listed first (and as far as I can tell, received the owner points for first non-quailified), despite being the third fastest driver who went home. Curious, to say the least. 14.
