Austin Dillon spun Onion a week after he put Dillon in the wall at LOR. Outside of those facts, there's not a whole lot more to say here besides Harvick winning. 2. 18fan posted: 08.07.2011 - 11:56 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I hope Kevin was happy that he beat his "nemesis" with a vastly superior truck and Kyle having to come from deep in the field after a flat left front tire right before the rain delay. How about the rookies Piquet Jr and Kligerman outqualifying Mark Martin. I don't think Piquet had ever been to Pocono, while Kligerman ran ARCA races here. 3. The incident had nothing to do with the previous one at LOR, other than Cueball was at fault for both incidents. 4. On Thursday, the #66 hauler crashed into the flagstand - they had to put up a temporary flagstand. The team quialified dead last (31st), didn't do all that well in the race, became part of the Gaughan/Starr wreck, and caused another caution when the #66 stalled on the access road. 5. dUDE gUY posted: 08.07.2011 - 12:08 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) 1-2 cupper finish. Except for cautions and very short stretches between them you could see nothing. I'm disappointed with the way race was developing. 8. What Dillon-Bodine wreck? There was only a Dillon-Bodine wreck in Mikey's fevered imagination. Bodine came up and got into -Hornaday- getting spun out for it, Dillon just happened to be right behind them and never touched the 5. 10. 00andJoe posted: 08.07.2011 - 12:58 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Running order of the top eight at the time of the red flag on Saturday was: Kligerman, Coulter, Whitt, McCumbee, Ryan Sieg, Sellers, Dillon and Martin. 11. 00andJoe posted: 08.07.2011 - 1:04 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) -First career Truck Series start for James Hylton. 12. KHI has won this race 2 years in a row, but Harvick made it look much easier than Elliott Sadler did last year. Speaking of Harvick, this is by far his best finish of the year, in his previous 2 starts this season he's only finished a pedestrian 4th and 5th. What no one has surprisingly mentioned is that Johnny Sauter's truck failed post race inspection. It's all falling apart for Johnny. :( 20. 00andJoe posted: 08.07.2011 - 11:59 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Interesting fact: both CWTS races at Pocono have been won from the pole. 21. In today's age of entitlement, it's rare to see a driver get fully punished for screwing up in qualifying. And it may have helped teach Buescher a lesson: After all, he's been the master at not making mistakes since that race. And with Johnny's team inventing new ways to shoot themselves in the foot every week, it just may win him a championship. 22. It's his 16th top 5 in his last 17 Truck Series starts. Kyle Busch gets his 7th top 2 finish in 9 Truck Series starts this season (5 wins). James Buescher is the highest finishing series regular in 3rd, his 6th top 5 in 13 races this season which matches his output from 2010 in 22 starts. It's also h is series-leasing 12th top 20 and 10th consecutive. Johnny Sauter came back from a qualifying wreck to finish 4th, his 3rd top 5 in the last 4 races. He had a 5 point lead after the race but failed post race inspection so he could lose the lead to... Austin Dillon, who got his 4th straight top 10 finish, including 1 win and 3 top 5's; he's scored the most point of anyone in that stretch. Joey Coulter was the highest finishing rookie, extending his top 10 streak to 7 races which is just one off of the rookie record set by RCR teammate Austin Dillon last season. Mark Martin finishes 7th in his first Truck Series start of the season, but it's just the #32's 3rd top 10. After going 4 straight races without a top 10, Crafton has 3 in the last 4 with an 11th as his worst finish. Ron Hornaday becomes the 1st driver in Truck Series history to record 200 career top 10's (289 starts). Timothy Peters picks up his 40th career top 10 in 107 series starts, 3rd straight overall. 23. Since the race is on the same day as the ARCA race they decided to have two 125 mile races so they wouldn't take the entire day to run (Good thing, cause of the weather). 24. Talon64 posted: 08.09.2011 - 4:59 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Johnny Sauter's been penalized 6 points, team penalized 6 points, and CC Joe Shear Jr. has been fined $5k. This means Austin Dillon is now the point leader, 1st time in his career, by 1 point over Sauter with James Buescher 14 points out in 3rd. 25. NicoRosbergFan posted: 08.09.2011 - 9:01 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Sounds like last year with Carl and Brad at Gateway. They penalized Carl enough to make sure Carl didn't get more points then Brad for the race. Here, they picked a random number just to give Austin Dillon the point lead. Sauter cheated, but Hornaday lost 25 points for a MUCH milder offense. 26. Spen posted: 08.10.2011 - 4:50 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Just like with Kyle earlier this year, 6 points isn't exactly random. Under the old point system, fourth would give you 160 points. The penalty gives him the same points you'd get for tenth, which was 134. So it's basically the old 25 point fine, adjusted for the new system. Hornaday's 25 point penalty makes very little sense, as it translates to an 84 point penalty under the old system. 27. Brad posted: 08.10.2011 - 6:57 am Rate this comment: (1) (0) 14. Are you serious? Ty Dillon is talentless????? His 2011 ARCA stats: 13 starts 7 wins 10 top 5s 11 top 10s. How is that talentless? And don't give me the bullshit line of he is in far superior equipment because I would say that me or you couldn't go out and win over half of the races in a season. You RCR and Harvick haters need to pull your heads out of your asses! 28. Kevin is happy to have beat Kyle Busch. How does he have a "vastly superior truck"? Is it because Harvick is a better car owner than Kyle? Is it because Kevin didn't go bankrupt in his first season as a truck owner like Kyle? Or is it simply because Harvick is a better driver than Busch? Because Busch had plenty of opportunities to pass Harvick. They lined up side by side on the final restart. Kevin drove away on OLDER and more worn out tires than Kyle. I thought Kyle was the best at restarts??? Oh... That's only when Harvick doesn't race. 29. 18fan posted: 08.10.2011 - 8:39 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Since everybody that drives the #2 truck contends to win almost every race and that's not the case with the #18 truck when Kyle is not driving it. I think Harvick is a much better team owner than Kyle, but Harvick is better than a lot of other people in terms of ownership too. If Harvick is a better driver than Kyle, then why does Kyle have more top 5s than Kevin does top 10s. Also why did Kyle drive past the whole field after spinning out while Kevin couldn't get out of the 10th-15th range if Kevin is better. 30. 18fan posted: 08.10.2011 - 8:40 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) ^The second paragraph of my last post refer to Cup stats and the Cup race at Pocono. 31. Kasey Kahne whipped the field at Darlington in the #18 this year, and Elliott Sadler's been pretty mediocre in the #2 in his 6 starts (1 top 5). I think they're pretty much equal. 32. Brad posted: 08.10.2011 - 5:29 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) We are both biased in our opinions because obviously your driver in Kyle and mine is Harvick. So it looks like Talon64 settled it. Kyle is a great driver but not as great as Harvick. When Kyle has a car that is not driving to his liking, he spins it out. Harvick drives it. I haven't looked it up, but I would be willing to bet Kyle has spun or wrecked at least double the times that Harvick has. 33.
