I thought that Buscher's crew was making the wrong move when they chose to took 4 tires on the last stop, but I see what Mike Shelton was doing. 3. ii posted: 04.21.2012 - 5:40 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) #19 Sponsor: WM/Brad Keselowski's Checkered Flag Foundation 4. He and his wife Kris won a "newlywed game" against the Craftons and the Gales. Given that his father-in-law is his car owner, his job probably depended on winning that. :) 5. I had to crack up watching that Newlywed game spoof with Matt Crafton and his wife. Although the segment itself was lame, all I could think about was a female co-worker of mine (who is like 23 and not all that attractive) talking openly to the entire station about her and Matt together having, how do I put this gingerly, "relations" on his living room couch in his house. I hope her lungs are better than her job skills. 6. 18fan posted: 04.21.2012 - 5:50 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) And James beat made the winning pass on the Cup driver, which makes it even better for him. Turner has a really good team assembled with two stars of the future in James and Nelson Piquet Jr. 7. 10andJoe posted: 04.21.2012 - 5:59 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) #14 sponsor: NTS Inc./Ironclad Performance Wear (same for all races this year) #17 sponsor: Toyota Trucks/Strutmasters #19 sponsor: Waste Management/Checkered Flag Foundation #24 sponsor: Made In USA Brand/PledgeForUSA.com (same for all races this year) #65 sponsor: Yellow Stripes: Making the Driver #84 sponsor: Glenden Enterprises/Stingray Chevrolet 8. Also, I guess four tires was the correct way to go at the end. The top two finishers both went with that strategy. 14. I was impressed Keselowski was able to end up 3rd. That truck looked pretty evil compared to the other front runners. Townley ran another clean race... which isn't all that surprising, unless you're one of those guys who likes to go "LOL JOHN WRECKS WEEKLY". He was pretty easy on cars when he made his return to RAB in 2010 and ran 4 races, and after a 3 truck races after an absence of more than a year, his only real mistake was sliding 2 feet off the curb at Martinsville and spinning out JR Fitzpatrick... a mistake often made at Martinsville. I'm kind of surprised that Ty Dillon hasn't been stronger than he's shown the last couple of weeks, but still pretty solid for a new truck driver. A PHENOMENAL save by Hornaday when Paulie Harraka caused his usual wreck. Solid showing for Piquet. More bad luck for Johnny Sauter during another competitive run. 18. Kyle posted: 04.21.2012 - 9:03 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) according to a post by jennifer jo cobb on her official facebook page, dennis setzer #38 and scott riggs #74 failed post qualifying inspection, which is why they withdrew. apparently, the cost of not running the race was less then what the fine would have been, because if an entry withdraws they cannot be fined for failing inspection. 19. 10andJoe posted: 04.21.2012 - 9:12 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) >I'm kind of surprised that Ty Dillon hasn't been stronger than he's shown the last couple of weeks, but still pretty solid for a new truck driver. I'd agree that having 6 top tens in 7 career starts is pretty solid! 20. Watto posted: 04.21.2012 - 9:54 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) True that. I guess I just expected Ty to be more of a factor today because the big tracks tend to bring the best equipment to the top. He's looked good on driver tracks too, but it seems that RCR is crazy good on big tracks. 21. 10andJoe posted: 04.22.2012 - 12:13 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Also, was it just me or was this a surprisingly good race for a 1.5-mile cookie-cutter? On last year's Homestead Truck page I said he wasn't quite championship caliber but this year he's starting to prove me wrong. Also glad to see Brad get beat by Truck regulars. I like him, but I am LOVING the fact that Cup guys aren't winning as much in lower Series this year. 23. Ivan Balakhonov posted: 04.22.2012 - 4:16 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) I should say that Harvick's and Kahne's 'truckwhacking' deserved criticism since they were driving for two dominant teams in the series. In Brad's case he was driving his own truck and I must say BK Racing are overachievers given the quality of equipment they have at their disposal. So kudos to Kez and Kligerman for having top-10 finishes. 24. awesomegordonfan posted: 04.22.2012 - 6:53 am Rate this comment: (0) (1) Brad only lost because he was in his own equipment. If Penske built a truck for him that was better, he could've easily beaten Buescher. 25. Hard to say that for Kahne since it was Turner's first Truck win. As competitive as they've been since 2010, it's only been this year that they've finally looked like a championship organization that's able to win week in, week out. Piquet having the dominant truck at Rockingham really proved that, if it weren't for the pit road and restart mistakes he had a good chance of beating Kahne straight-up. Harvick at Martinsville was just a debacle. Thankfully Childress is putting Tim George Jr. in the #2 for only-God-knows-what reasons. Ty's having a better start to his Truck career than Austin, but an appropriately better start since Austin came in when RCR was in it's first year back in the Trucks. Ty has his ARCA-championship team and Austin's championship-winning Trucks, so I'd bank on them improving as the season goes on to contend for the title at the end of the year. 34. He led a career-high 103 laps on the way to the win, and he'd had 4 runner-up finishes prior to finally winning. It's his 2nd straight top 5 at Kansas, both coming from starting 6th. Buescher has the distinction of being the first NASCAR driver in 2012 to win in multiple national touring series, 1 win in NNS and now 1 in NCWTS. In fact he's just the 2nd ever non-Cup driver to win in both NNS and NCWTS in the same season, joining Greg Biffle in 2001 who had 5 wins as a NNS rookie and 2 wins in 4 Truck starts. Turner Motorsports wins back-to-back races, their first wins in the series (4 wins in NNS since 2011). Timothy Peters picked up his 50th top 10 in 122 career Truck starts. He has 4 straight top 5 finishes, including 2 of his 4 career runner-up finishes, to start 2012. It's his first top 10 in 5 Kansas starts (16.4 avg fin). Brad Keselowski gets just his 2nd top 5 and 5th top 10 in 50 career Truck starts, but both top 5's have come with his Brad Keselowski Racing team in 6 starts since 2010. Nelson Piquet Jr. picks up his 3rd straight top 10 finish and first top 5 of 2012. Todd Bodine gets his first top 5 with Red Horse Racing, giving all 3 RHR teams a top 5 through the first 4 races of 2012. It's his 4th top 5 in 9 Kansas starts and his 3rd in a row. Ron Hornaday picks up his first top 10 of 2012 in 6th, also his first top 10 with Joe Denette Motorsports. It's his 5th top 10 in his last 6 Kansas starts. Justin Lofton had 3 top 10's and no top 5's through all of 2011. He's started 2012 with 4 straight top 10's, including 2 top 5's. Parker Kligerman hasn't finished worse than 11th so far in 2012, and has back-to-back top 10's. Ty Dillon was the highest finishing rookie in the race in 9th, one of 3 drivers with top 10's in each of the first 4 races of the season. Miguel Paludo picks up his first top 10 of the season in 10th, his 10th top 10 in 33 career Truck starts. 35. lemonhead75 posted: 06.08.2012 - 10:22 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) What happened to Jason White?
