Too bad he got beat at his own game at the end. Horn admitted that he spun his tires. When it happened I was screaming that Peters jumped the restart. 2. Far more competitive rides, only two S&P's in this race compared to 13 in the Nationwide Series, and much better racing. 4. Sauter actually pushed Peters across the S/F line ahead of Hornaday on that final restart, and while Hornaday spun his tires, a factor in him losiong the lead was the blocking that went on. Peters blocked Sauter's move. Hornaday in turn tried to block Peters, and that turned out to be his demise. But again, James Buescher had the dominant truck, but his demise in this race is exactly why NASCAR needs to find a way to get longer fuel runs in the Cup and Nationwide Series, because Buescher ran his truck too hard and abused either the right front tire or the brakes, which could have caused a melted bead. Had he been a little more conservative on his equipment, the crash would not have happened. Either way, his right front blew entering turn one just when a caution came out for John Wes Townley's spin at the head of the home stretch after 80 laps, and as a series of green flag pit stops was beginning. But you likely won't see blowouts from overuse, because they'll only be running 65-75 laps today at Loudon before pit stops. 6. I agree, this is the true #2 series in NASCAR. It's actually possible for series regulars to win, plus this year we have had a multiple drivers in victory lane, with 7 different drivers in 8 races. Plus the start-and-parks are at a reasonable amount. There never seems to be more than 5 S&P's in Trucks, but there's always at least 7 in Nationwide. Maybe NASCAR will reduce the higher entry fees they imposed on the Nationwide Series and/or increase the purses. I wanted Hornaday to win, but I was perfectly fine with Peters getting his 1st win of the season. His victory lane interview was really touching, as he mentioned how he lost his dad 11 years ago this month and how he's going to be a father himself very soon. Justin Lofton and Ty Dillon are the only drivers within a full race of Peters in the points. Also, the battle for 4th has closed up between Buescher, Kligerman, and Crafton. A win for the latter two would be very beneficial. Only 2 points separate 10th from 13th. 13.
