Red Horse Racing scored its 10th win in its 300th start. The #7 team has won both restrictor plate races this year. German Quiroga (8th) posted his first career top-10 finish in his third Truck start. Johnny Chapman was actually not start & parking. He was running well & recorded the fastest lap of the race when he was collected in the lap 47 wreck. Justin Lofton's bad luck continues. For the second week in a row, he has a hard hit. 3. They really should just let the drivers race back to the line on the last lap, especially if the wreck is on the backstraight or later!....I could see throwing the yellow if there are wrecked cars in turns one or two, but when they wreck on the back, the leaders are sure to be slowed down enough the next time they arrive on the accident scene (the cool-down lap)! Just like the fall Cup race here in 2005 (Jarrett won).... Other than that, isn't Kligerman the eighth different driver to get his first career Truck win this year? Amazing! 9. Talon64 posted: 10.10.2012 - 5:55 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Parker Kligerman becomes the record-8th driver to get their first career Camping World Truck Series win this season, and the 78th different driver to win a Truck race overall. Which means the number of different winners in the Trucks increased by 11.4% this season ALONE. Kligerman improves his record since joining Red Horse Racing to 1 win, 5 top 5's and a 7.9 average finish in 7 races (2 top 5's, 9.4 avg fin in first 11 races of the year with BKR). This isn't the first time that a driver's made a mid-season switch to RHR and found immediate success; in 2009 Timothy Peters moved from Steve Stallings' team (2 top 10's, 17.0 avg fin in 8 races) to RHR (5 top 5's, 11 top 10's and a 9.8 avg fin in 17 races, getting his 1st career win in his 13th start). 4 different drivers have combined for 5 wins for Red Horse Racing in 2012. Johnny Sauter cracks the top 10 in points for the first time in 2012 thanks to just his 2nd top 3 finish of the season and his 11th career runner-up finish (ties him with Travis Kvapil for 10th all time). It's his 3rd top 10 in the last 4 races and he has 6 finishes of 12th or better in the last 7. James Buescher is the first driver to reach 10 top 5's this season, equaling his total in 24 starts in 2011. It's his 8th finish of 7th or better in the last 9 races (5.0 avg fin), and his series-leading 9th of the season; the next best drivers are Peters and Ty Dillon with 5 each. Ty Dillon earned his 3rd pole of 2012 and of his career, tying him with teammate Joey Coulter for the series lead. He finishes in the top 10 for a 5th consecutive race, a streak that also includes 4 top 4 finishes (4.0 avg fin). James Buescher leads the Truck Series this season in wins (4), top 3's (9), and laps led (474) while Ty Dillon leads in top 10's (16), average start (5.2) and average finish (7.0). You couldn't have a bigger performance vs. consistency battle brewing right now, although the fact that the consistent one's a rookie makes them both equally worthy of this championship. Timothy Peters has back-to-back top 10's for the first time since Iowa and Chicagoland back in July, and his first top 5 in 5 races. Ryan Blaney gets his 3rd top 10 in his first 5 Truck Series starts; he has a 7.0 finish with no finish worse than 11th. It improves his overall record between Nationwide and Trucks in 2012 to 1 win, 1 top 5, 8 top 10's and a 12.5 average finish in 14 starts. Kurt Busch picks up his 3rd top 10 in 3 Truck Series starts this season, and his 20th in 28 career starts. 3-time NASCAR Toyota Series (aka NASCAR Mexico Series) champion German Quiroga finishes 7th in his Truck Series debut. Tim George Jr. gets his first career top 10 in his 12th series start. In 10 starts with RCR this season he has an average finish of 18.5. After having just 3 top 10's in the first 14 races of the season, Cale Gale has 3 in the last 4 races. It's his 8th top 10 in 28 series starts. Cole Whitt finishes 13th in his first Truck Series start of 2012. Bryan Silas finishes a career-best 12th, his 2nd top 15 and 8th top 20 finish in 37 series starts. Over the last two races Ron Hornaday's fallen from 10th to 13th in the standings. His worst points finish prior to this season was 7th three times (1999, 2006, 2010). The average age of the 13 race winners so far in 2011 is 27.7 years old. The average age among the 12 winners last year was 35.6. 18.
