Hope things get better for this series 4. Michigan has always had a short field the last few years, 35 were entered last year and 33 in 2011, it's just not a race a lot of teams attempt. Michigan falls at about the midseason point of the truck series, the point at which a handful of teams that started out running a full season start skipping races or shut down. Case in point the Wauters Motorsports #5 team has ran every race this year and will not be running this week due to sponsorship issues. 5. joey2448 posted: 08.17.2013 - 12:10 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I tell you what, there is not a single driver up in the top of the point standings in this series that I root against. For smaller teams, that is a real stretch to have to prepare a superspeedway, short track, and intermediate truck (for Atlanta next week), then haul to Michigan and back and be in Bristol on Tuesday or Wednesday. At least to me, the changeable nature of racing is what makes things interesting. If I wanted to see the same people play each other using the same tactics each and every week, I would watch football. 9.
