In the meantime, big name drivers like Matt Crafton, Johnny Sauter, and Timothy Peters qualified surprisingly poorly. Then again, this is Talladega. It's not like it matters where you qualify. Here, you'll either wreck or finish in the top 10. 4. The battle's now for second place between last year's championship rivals, Ty Dillon and James Buescher. All he needs to clinch the title is ninth or better in the final four races, and that's if either Dillon or Buescher lead the most laps AND win the final four races. This race was a great mix of the tandems and conventional drafting; the negatives of the tandems (the second-place vehicle pushing the leader into the clear and then just staying there instead of passing; cenventional drafting unable to keep up or catch up) were nowhere to be found here - over and over a push-Truck in a tandem would get the tandem into the clear then pass the leader; the conventional drafts could keep up and catch up to tandems pretty well; they also seemed to sidedraft tandems decently. Johnny Sauter appears to be building a reputation similar to Mike Wallace, Todd Bodine, and Ron Hornaday - couldn't cut it in Cup but can dominate in the Busch Series and Trucks. 115. 83andJoe posted: 10.21.2013 - 4:34 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Martinsville entry list is out. 39 trucks: -Carl Long in the 1 -Daniel Hemric in the 6 -Harvick in the 14 -Chastain in the 19 -Spencer Gallagher in the 21 -John Hunter Nemechek in the 22 -Kennedy in the 30 -Brandon Jones in the 33 -Hamlin in the 51 -Elliott in the 94 116. Knowing her luck this year there would have been a wreck involving her as the field attempted to lap her. And I think that is the #0 that JJC attempted to qualify in, as the #10 was destroyed in the Las Vega race. 119. Ryan Truex would match that result at Daytona in 2016. And Norm Benning tied the mark of best finish for the #57 in trucks with his 12th place run. Drawing him even with Chuck Bown, who set the mark at Homestead in 1998. @119 No longer Timmy Hill's best NASCAR finish, nor his best truck series finish. 123.
